How do you buy a DVC discounted AP on site?

Can you buy DVC discounted annual passes at the theme park ticket windows, as you can with regular priced APs?

I keep reading that you need to go to "guest relations," but isn't that inside the park (thus requiring a valid pass to get to it)?

I've also read you can do it at DTD, but it would be a lot easier to go to MK since we'll be staying at VWL.

There is a Guest Relations office outside each Theme Park (as well as inside). At the MK, it is to the far right of the turnstyles after going thru security (near the stroller office- but outside the turnstyles).

At Epcot, it is also at the far right after going thru security. At the Studios and at Animal Kingdom it is at the far left of the turnstyles - after security.

You will need your DVC membership card and a photo ID to get the DVC discount.

As noted, you can also purchase the discounted AP at DD at the Guest Relations office.

We walked past those guest relations spots so many times, but I still can't bring them to mind. But with your directions, we'll be able to find them once we're back with no problem.

I've always just used the regular ticket windows. I one at Epcot in October to redeem my AP voucher (I bought before the August price increase). A friend used one at the International Gateway last month.

We also bought our at International Gateway last month with no problems at all.

I bought mine at Downtown Disney. The counter is right where the pictures are taken for the boutique. No line and very easy.

We normally use the DTD location but will do IG this trip as we will be at BWV

We bought ours at Studios last June. Very nice woman helped us but it took a little while.

We purchased an AP for our daughter last Thursday at Epcot. Just went to the outside Member Services like Doc described. No problem at all. The problem we got now is DW and my AP's come up for renewal in June but our next trip after that isn't until December. So do we renew in June and get the renewal discount or wait until December and have the pass longer. Still trying to figure it out.

We usually go to the Epcot location because it's the least busiest.

And remember there are two Guest Services locations in DTD. One is indoors near Team Mickey and the BBB photo location, the other an outdoor kiosk at West Side, near the entrance to PI. I know this because in December we took two cars and ended up at two different Guest Services in DTD!

Both did sell us the DVC AP.

That would be 6months and I think I would wait the Renewal price is not that much of a discount to sit for that long without use.
