How do you bathe your baby in the jacuzzi?

I have a 15 month old that I usually bathe in one of those little inflatable tubs(that I set down in the big tub) at home. I would rather not lug the thing down there and then try to blow it up. Does anyone have any helpful hints on bathing your little ones without them sliding all over the tub?

I have not actually tried this myself, but I do remember being told that, in a pinch, I could use a plastic laundry bin (you know, the ones with holes in the sides that you carry laundry in...1 and 2 bedrooms usually have them in the room, if I recall correctly), put that in the tub and the baby would sit inside of it.
I can't vouch for it personally, but it might work for you.
How old is your baby? 15 months? He/she should be pretty good at sitting up...the laundry basket might just do the trick. I would definitely give it a scrubbing before using it, though.

Well, we solved the problem by getting in the tub with the baby. One of us would crawl in, and the other one would stand by with a towel and whatever else was needed.

I hadn't thought about the laundry basket idea though....that might work. Our laundry basket was in the cabinet under the master sink.

In the 1 bedrms @ OKW the laundry basket is in the laundry room
actually, I like the idea of bringing the inflatable, is it very bulky?

When I went in September 04 my youngest was 14 months.

I just sat her in the tub. I just looked at the pics I have of her and her sister in there and I even filled it up and put on the jets. The water was up to her shoulders while sitting. She had a blast. But my DD was used to being in the big tub since as soon as my kids can sit up well we stop using bathing aids.

If I was concerned about sliding too much I would just fill the tub up with a lot less water, and not use the jets. If there isn't a lot of water they sit there just fine usually since water doesn't get under them and move them like rubber duckies.

Now that is an image! I'm so used to people discussing pool etiquette....using the pool after hours, etc. Puts a whole new spin on things, lol.

i have dh get in with both kids (ages 3 and 1) and i'm at the ready with towels, etc. the kids love the jets.

My DD was a little bit older by the time we went to BCV so she was able to "swim" in the tub with her sis or I got in with her. I would recommend just hopping on in. You are able to stay in contact and get a good wash. It is a little difficult leaning over the edge of that big tub. The laundry basket is a great idea too. I used this with both of my girls at home! We had a perfect sized round laundry basket that I would set in the tub. It gave them suport and something to hang one while not obstructing my ability to wash them. It really worked well.

We either got in with them, or after a year, took them in the shower with us, one went in and the other helped, both my kids loved taking showers, even my 5 year old to this day takes his own shower, he may take a bath ever so often, but usually showers.

The kitchen sink works well also, I think at WDW arn't they one big sink and not a side by side?

We always bring our inflatable tub on each trip. I find that our daughter likes to have some stuff from home and that tub is one of her favorites.

We had to use both of us for our 1.5 year old. One got in and one helped out standing guard at the outside of the tub. He really liked the jets. As others have said they are just so darn Slippery. I tried to do it myself outside of the tub and real fast figured out it was way too risky. We have two older boys who when they where just over a year would do the shower so that is another option. Lots of room in the shower. Our youngest is just too scared of the shower. Good Luck.

That is hilarious! I was laughing out loud reading this! I am horrible at getting my e-words straight!!!!! I'll probably see how the luggage "grows" and either go ahead and pack the "ducky" tub or use the towel or laundry basket.

We usually just get in with our little guy. He LOVES bathtime with Mommy anyway.

One story, though - On our first trip with him, we did pack a rubber ducky inflatable tub. I don't know about yours, but our version "quacks" when you squeeze it's nose. We packed our suitcases and were amused to hear our largest suitcase start quacking when we loaded it in the car! We were so confused. We knew we didn't have any toys in there or anything. It really puzzled us for a few minutes, until we remembered the bath tub. It was a huge suitcase and stuffed full and we were running late for our plane, so we didn't do anything about it.

That suitcase quacked all the way to Orlando! It quacked when we unloaded the car at the airport and when we put it on the skycap's cart. I imagined it was quacking as they were loading and unloading it from the plane. It quacked as we got it off the baggage carousel and when our limo driver loaded it in the trunk. It was quacking as the bell person took it at the resort and when they brought it to our room!

We got some really funny looks, and I'm sure lots of people were wondering why we were bringing a duck to Disney World in our luggage!

We packed better on the way home - no quacking.
