How do you add your Castaway Club number if booked through agent?

I made both cruise reservations through a travel agent, but they were always associated with the same account online. I checked the CC section after I logged into my account on the Disney cruise website, and it says "Sorry, but we're having a problem retrieving your Castaway Club ID. Please call 1-800-449-3380 for assistance." I called Disney, and they said my agent must be the one adding the number. They can't add it for me..

I find it bizarre that I am not allowed to add my CC number to the reservation (I have my CC numbers), does this make any sense? I did email my agent to do it but he is away on vacation and literally comes back 90 days before my cruise (the day I am allowed to start booking stuff as a CC member) so I'm hoping I can get this done earlier.. a little frustrated :S anyone got any experience?

It's normally automatic, if you fill in your details online on your reservation it finds it.

If you have a TA ask them to sort it out for you. Do they not have cover?

Actually yes my TA just got back to me from Europe and he will get someone else to look into it next week. He said he was pretty sure he added them though, and if he did, I wonder if it's a different issue (like it's somehow not linked with my online account). I'll wait and see then! I have two weeks to sort this out. But yes, I see people say it's usually automatic, so a bit surprised to find out mine wasn't

Have you tried again? Disney isn't the best with their error messages. Perhaps the system was hiccuping.

Have you tried to just log into your castaway cay account? Will it let you? This might be the problem. When they switched over and updated the website I got a similar error message. I called with this issue and they had to reset something with my sign on for my castaway cay log in and then it worked.

Yup I tried logging in directly to the CC website and it said the same thing (both last night and this morning) maybe it'll work tomorrow, lol

Update: my agent added the number for me (online or calling not sure) but now when I go on the CC site, it shows I'm a silver member! Yay!

P.s. So it's not always automatic I guess!

I had to call and add my clients CC number when they booked their second cruise. :) They actually did not know it so the folks at DCL were able to look it up and then when I tried to add it online there was a system error message that I got too. LOL
So, I called them and they took care of it right away. Glad you are squared away!
