How do we get to use points?

My husband and I are looking at buying vacation club and not sure how the points work exactly. If we had no points today but points coming in June 2009. Can we book today for a vacation in October with the points coming in June or do the points need to be in your account today?

Yes, you can always make reservations for your Home Resort up to 11 months in advance based on the points you would have avilable at that time using current, banked and/or borrowed points (and also based on availability, of course).

In your situation, where you do not yet have points in your account, you can still go ahead and make reservations for dates after your Use Year begins or even before by borrowing.

The only variation for that ability if for resorts yet to be open for occupancy. BLT cannot make any reservations for dates prior to September 1, 2009 and cannot reserve at BLT until March 1, 2009. SSR owners cannot reserve THVs for another week and then for dates after June 1, 2009.
