How do we get to our site with rental camper waiting?

Staying at FW for the first time ever in February and renting a travel trailer and golf cart from an outside vendor. If the vendor beats us there and sets up our camper do we "hoof it" to our site after check in? We'll be using the ME and won't have our own car. There's five of us so we'll have a bit of luggage. Do they offer a shuttle directly to our site? Hmmmm. The little details just might kill me! LOL Also, looking for WDW rules for campers (ie: quiet hours, hanging from clothes lines, etc.). All campgrounds have them, just can't seem to find anything on line. Would like to review with the kids prior to arrival.

Yes, they will take you by shuttle. You can hang a clothes line. I believe quiet hours are 11PM to 7AM. Have a great trip!

Another tip, as we've done FW the exact same way many times. You will need to call the front desk and arrange a shuttle from your site to Outpost to meet the ME bus on the day of departure. They will leave a Magical Express ticket at your site on your next-to-last day. After getting that ticket call the front desk and schedule a pick-up. For us, we always take the first flight out which meant leaving our site at 4:30 AM! The ME bus tries to pick up at the Fort a few hours ahead of your flight, and it always makes stops on the way at other resorts.

I really think the front desk should take care of this important detail at check-in but it seems to be something that falls between the cracks.

Here is a page out of the "handbook" they give you when you check in. It has the quite times listed at the top.A_Scans.jpg

I do have a question, which off-site vendor are you using? Just curious if you booked the rental of the camper and golf cart as a package deal?

Yes, Ft. Wilderness package plus golf cart with Meacham's RV. Spoke with two companies, both were extremely helpful. Went with Meacham's because they had the inventory availability to fit our needs. This will be our first trip renting and staying at Ft. Wilderness. Most of our trips in the past we've rented a house/condo off property. Excited!

That's just strange, because I was under the impression that offsite camper rentals could no longer rent the golf carts as a package deal at Fort Wilderness. This was done because they forced all off site golf cart rental companies to do their deliveries and swaps off site. In order to keep it fair, they enforced the rule on the camper rental companies as well. They could deliver the campers just fine, but not the golfcarts.

Oh well, hey, if you got it done I say "Rock on"!
