How do we do the child swap for rides?

We will be at DL next week, and were wondering how to do the child swap. our DD is 5, and we would like to ride space mountain and california screamin', and maybe even HMH (if she is too nervous still). do we stand in line with her all together in the regular line, and then at the front tell the CM we want to swap? do we look for a special single rider line on the side?

Any help would be great! thanks.

Ask the CM at the entrance of the queue for a child swap pass. Also ask where the child swap entrance is (it varies at a few attractions). The first person will then stand in the queue, waiting for his/her turn to ride. After riding, the pass is then given to the other adult who did not ride. At most attractions, this person will then enter through the exit (or elsewhere as directed by the CM at the entrance) and ride without waiting.

If the child is tall enough, but doesn't want to ride you may have to all wait in line. HMH won't have switch passes, so I'm not sure how that works...

Good mention about the child being tall enough. If the child is not tall enough to ride the ride, the child will not be allowed to line up and wait with you. This happened to my friend and I at the Indiana Jones ride, and again for Soarin' with a different 3 year old. Well this has been my experience so if I've just had strange luck please correct me.

Soarin' we did do the child swap, but can anyone confirm if child swap is available for Indiana Jones? If I remember correctly I believe the CM told us that it wasn't available, so we ended up Fast Passing and taking turns. Did we just encounter a jerky CM or is it not available for that ride?

My daughter is still afraid of the Snow White and Mr. Toad rides in FntsyL. can we swap for those rides too? is it only certain rides that let you swap?

It's usually anything that has a height requirement. But ask the CM in line. You may be able to have one wait with the child while the other rides and then switch once they get off.

I would definately do single rider on anything you can because it is much faster than even fastpass and you and DH can't ride together anyway. Indiana Jones and Screamin have single rider, I don't know what else does.

That last post may not have been clear. What I meant was that when we went last month it was faster for us to both take turns with single rider than It was to use fastpass and child swap.
