How do ride photos get linked to memory maker?

We're headed to Disney tomorrow and purchased the memory maker package. I understand that the ride photos are included. What do I have to do to get those linked to our magic bands? I know they usually have a station that shows all the photos. Do we have to stop and tell them which frame is us? Thanks!

That is what you used to do with the Photopass cards. Give the booth your number and they scan the card and your picture goes on there. I would assume it's the same with Memory Maker except now they will probably scan the magic band.

Just get your number from the screen and give it to them and scan your magic band. Same as with photopass card. Quick and easy.

Can anybody on my MDE scan their band? For example if the kids ride something without me can they scan their bands after the ride and get the photo? Thanks.

Unless I'm totally misunderstanding how it works, as long as they're on your Friends and Family list, they'll be able to.

Anyone in your traveling party can scan. Your kids are under your reservation so their photos show up in your account. If they have their own account and have you friended they can share their photos.

Ride photos automatically are linked to your MDE account. There are RFID sensors on the ride and as you travel by, it picks up your MagicBand ID. There should be no reason to have to scan at the end of the ride as Memory Maker is also linked to MDE, correct?

I know with PP+ pre MM, they linked my band to my PP and said there was no reason to scan your band, because of the RFID. However, I had read prior to our trip that many people were not seeing their ride photos, so I went up to the register and asked them to be sure our photos were linked on each ride, and guess what they still weren't there in the evening many times. Luckily I kept our photo numbers, what ride and time and was able to retrieve them at the end of the trip. Hopefully, they have fixed these issues with the Memory Maker.

Here now using memory maker. You have to go to counter and give them the photo number, they pull up he photo, and then you scan your magic band. They are not automatically showing up on your account without doing this. We also confirmed this with a CM.

Also we are finding that it is not working for all people linked to the account. The Memory Maker is registered to my wife's band and it is only working for her. The photo I used my band for and my son used his for did not show up.

Haha yeah. There's no linking your band to PhotoPass, they were just completely lying. It's a good thing you associated them yourself because there's no way to associate those photos into your account without a long and time consuming search process. Would've been a vacation nightmare.

For the photos not showing up, are all the folks managed guests? If they have their own account, are you friends and family linked? Is the checkbox in MDX checked so that photos are shared? If they have their own account, have they logged in to their account to view the photos? If they are linked and the photos are on their bands, they still have to log in because that claims the photos and then shares them with everyone else.

Some people have reported their ride photos appearing in their account on their own, but I don't think it's reliable enough that you can do this and expect your picture to always end up in your account. I would just go and scan your band at the counter just incase. Doesn't take long, and it's better than losing the picture.

Finding more issues with the memory maker. Scanned our magic band with the memory maker at two rides this morning at AK and neither have shown up on the photo pass site.
