How do refillable mugs work at Beach Club?

They don't have a food court there right? So how does this work? Are there a few places that we can get refilled?

Thanks!

Beaches and Cream and Hurricaine Hannahs (pool bar). I ordered food in the pool area and tipped. The waitress always made sure my mug was filled, I also tipped during the course of the day.

At one time you could also have more mug filled while you were dining in the restuarants, not sure if they still do this.

There is a breakfast at one of the Beach club restaurants where you can refill your mug for free with coffee. I felt awkward about refilling at Beaches and Cream or Hannah's b/c I didn't want to bother the waitresses and the tip kind of negated the free refill anyway. I got water bottles at Boardwalk and sodas in their general store. Beach Club might be a good place for concierge for the sake of drinks (yet alas, you are paying much more than buying dozens of single sodas :) ). Concierge is fun, though.

You take your mugs to the counter at Hannah's and to the take out counter at Beaches and Cream. I wouldn't sit down and expect them to fill my mugs unless I was ordering food.

Yes, I did just take them to the counters. It's a little easier at places like AKL or GF where they have a self service drink area, then you don't have to ask or tip anyone :).

I must admit I found the whole thing just too inconvenient. I made koolaid and gatorade in the room. Even the ds didnt feel like going for a mug run after a hot day in the parks etc.

I agree with luvmarypoppins. We love the YC/BC but my only real complaint is no place to grab a quick bit to eat and refill mugs. We waited up to 20 minutes at Hurricane Hanna's and counter service for B & C to refill our mugs. It was record breaking heat the week of Memorial Day and we eventually purchased our own bottled water and soda to fil the mugs ourselves. We used the waiter to fill the mug when we ordered food by the pool. Since that first visit, we stay concierge. Among other benefits, we don't have to worry about finding a quick breakfast, snacks or drinks. I'm sure it is not cost effective but the convenience is worth the cost to us. (Although there was that one year my DS and nephew were going through a growth spurt and couldn't get enough food in their system the whole trip!)

I experienced this, too! When Beaches and Cream was busy it was quite a wait to get your mug refilled at the counter by a waitress. I wish they had a self service refill area like most of the other deluxes have. At the Boardwalk, I was able to refill my mug at the bar, and the bartender was usually available, but I felt the need to tip him as well, basically making the drink cost what it would to buy a soda separately. I find it easier at the Disney Epcot resorts just to buy sodas and stuff separately. The MK and AK deluxe resorts have self refill places that makes it easier (plus AKL has CAFFEINE FREE DIET SODA on tap--a rare treasure at WDW) :)

I want to add a nice story about Poly. GF doesn't sell caffeine free diet sodas, so I went to the Poly for diet sprite. Well, the snack area was out of them, so I went back to GF and called from my room to ask when they were getting more in, so we'd know when to return. I didn't ask for anything. Well, about a half hour later, room service (from the Poly) brought over 4 diet sprites on ice!!! It was probably the sweetest thing that has ever happened to me during a hotel stay.
