How do people get "dreamed"?

Hi everyone,

I'm sorta new here and I'm already totally obsessed. My question is: does there seem to be any rhyme or reason to who gets "dreamed"? Or is it totally random? Any way to increase our chances/up the odds? Or should I just wish really hard?

There was a thread about this a few days ago. Somebody had just been there and found a pattern to watch for the dream team to come out of a particular CM door back between BTMRR and Fantasyland, and basically stalked them to see where they went. Apparently it was usually between like 9:30 and 10:30 a.m. You might want to look back a bit for that one for more details, not sure I've got it right.

Oh I missed that thread...gonna go search.

I makes total sense that they do it early, so you can use all the fast passes and get all your stuff together if you are super lucky to win the Dream Suite stay.

Is the promotion through the end of the year? If so, I'm going to stalk that area when (if) we go back!!!

AND another thing is that the Dream Squad people want to suprised people, not give things away when a guest ask. Your best bet for bigger prizes would be just sitting around and ignoring them altogether praying deep in your little hearts that they would approach you.

See! This is something I could do! I would NEVER approach them and ask...I'd be sitting (or standing) around, pretending to be all innocent of who/what they are ....and then get my kids to act all cute and friendly! yeah, that would probably be the time when my girls would fight and I'd have to grump at them....oh well!

If it's meant to happen it will! It certainly helps if you have a little more info though!!

On my birthday (May 10) I was dreamed twice!! Part of it was luck and part I watched. The first dream was about 8:15 or 8:30 (Im forgetting exactly now) we had walked by Big Thunder to see about getting on and it was closed so we headed towards Fantasyland. And ahead of us we see a couple dream people giving out dream fast passes. It was very exciting to get it and the date stamped is my actual birthday so no way we could use it!! lol Its intact in my disney room today.

Then the second dream came about 9:30 the same day. we was riding all the fantasy land rides when we got off Alice I saw a sea of hats coming from near Story book Canal. I thought maybe they was giving out there but as we approached we saw them on a walk way giving out. The walk way went from Story book canals to Princess Fantasy Fair. Had I not noticed the sea of people walking out of there we would have missed that one because Im sure we would have gone the other way after Alice ride.

I use to think the best way to get dreams was to ride but in both my instances on the very same day it was walking in the right area at the right time that won for us. It was truely a magical birthday for me that day.

We got dreamed with FPs in February at the exit from Mr. Toad's. We had just ridden with no wait, went on another FL ride and then saw them giving them out at the exit of Mr.Toad. We quick got on the ride again and when we got off, they were still there! It was such a thrill, even though we are really good at working the FP system. And since it was February, they weren't as necessary.

This was rather early in the AM - 9 am maybe.

Oh, man, we never saw anything while we were there the first time in March. I'm SO hoping to run into the dream team in Oct.!

We have been dreamed twice, both times for front row seats at Billy Hill. We saw a CM with pins and asked to see her lanyard, both times she offered us the special seating. It was a different CM both times, once in FL by the bridge leading to the hub, the second time it was in the hub.
