I'm surprising my little sister with a trip to Disney World for her 10th birthday. What started off as a plan for just her and I grew into her, my mom, and I, and then into her, my mom, my boyfriend, and I. Now my OTHER sister (20) is going with HER boyfriend as well. We're up to 6 people now!

I personally think it'd be funny to wake her up in the morning, load the luggage and my sister, her boyfriend, my boyfriend, her, and my mom into the van and start driving towards the airport.

We can tell her that my sister and her boyfriend are taking a trip, but have all of us get on the plane.

I just want to see how long it takes her to realize that we're going to Disney, and that we're going for her birthday!

I have a Birthday pin that I got her on my last trip, and I thought about having her put it on right before we got to ME...

My mom, on the other hand, wants to tell her about a week before, that way she has time to look forward to it. I can see her point, so I said the night before would be a cool way to tell her.

What do you think?

And whatever you think, what are your ideas for telling her. This is a big trip and I've been saving up for almost a year to be able to take her. I want her to get excited.

You have alot of great & creative ways of notifying your sister about the trip. No matter when/how you choose to inform your sister about the trip, I think she will be thrilled! Can't think of any better gift than a trip to WDW!

First of all, what a lucky sister you have!!!

I'd surprise her a week before. If you were to do it the day of, she'd be in shock and wouldn't be able to "take in the magic" of the World. With a week's notice, she can get over the initial shock and then do some research and what not to look forward to it. I also like the video idea. You could just say you have this movie you think she'd like.. and then play the vacation planning video or something like that. Hope that helps and have fun! :)

I am thinking of doing a surprise trip in early December for dd. My dh and I have thought about it and we decided that we want this one to be a surprise. I have been thinking of saying daddy has to go away for a few days and we have to take him to the airport. He is going to ask why dont you come with us and take it from there.

No matter how you do it she is going to love it.

Have a magical trip

Okay, just posted this in it's own thread....

If someone going down to Disney World in the next few weeks or so could help me out, I'd greatly appreciate it!

I need a video of a character, Jack, Cinderella, Peter pan, Jasmine, doesn't matter...

I need them to look into the camera and say, "Happy Birthday Sage, you're going to Disney World."

I would be INDEBTED to you forever! I have pins! Disney trading pins! I'll mail you a pin!

You can just put the video on youtube or email it to me....

Any takers willing to make a 9 year old's trip reveal AWESOME!

Seriously, any help? It'd be amazing! And the more the better!
