So I was the planner for our 13-member extended family trip in September 2016. SO, I have 13 people on my friends & family list. When DH and I were there last November I had to keep selecting just us from the list before getting 4th+ FP and it was annoying.

We are going with our 2 boys in September and I would like to remove those who are not traveling with us. When I click "remove from this list" it says "Because *NAME* has active admission or plans , they cannot be removed at this time."

None of them have any trips coming up, and none have been back since that last trip. If I remember correctly, I just added them all to my MDE account, because I asked them to make their own and we could link them, but nobody did and I had planning to do!

It's my understanding that you can't remove them. I wish we could though. I have like 13 on mine too...6 I would like to remove.

No way that I've found, though it may be possible by calling. 407 939 4375 is the phone number for website support.

I had a similar situation and I was able to delete some people once I made their magic bands "inactive." Just something you might try.

I was able to do it by calling. She said because they have an active band or card that I could delete them and cancel out their band or card or move them to an inactive list so that you don't see them which is what I did. I think like the other poster said if you make their band inactive you could probably remove yourself.

I have several names on my list, all managed by me, none with active MB or plans that I can see anywhere, and all give me a message saying that they can not be removed from the list because they have admission or plans.

I just removed my ex-husband and some duplicates this morning. I couldn't do it online. I called Disney, gave MDE as the reason I was calling, chose speak to a CM, and then explained to the CM that I needed to remove several names from my friends & family list. She had it taken care of in less than a minute.

I’ve done it online!
Sign into the websites (not app) go to My Friends and Family, click on the person you want to delete and click “remove from this list”
That worked with my friends who had stayed off site, but I remember with my ex I had to call and deactivate his magic band.

I just tried, didn't work.
I deactivated a friend's Magic Bands several years ago after her trip with us was over, but still when I click on "remove from list", it still says she has plans.

What I would like to do is remove the long list of inactive Magic Bands......takes me forever to scroll down past mine and DH's

You can do it online as long as they do not have an active Magic Band, ticket or pass.

For those who do not fit that category, call the helpdesk at Disney and they can unlink those guests for you.

This is not 100% true. I have numerous names in my friends and family list, only managed by me, none have active Magic Bands, tickets, or passes, and none can be removed online. There is something else in play here.

I've had the same issue for years now..... but you shouldn't have to choose any of the old unused named for a FP since they don't have ticket to use, right? Anyway the advice I was given was to call in to remove the old names,as mine had deactivated bands, and expired tix used up,and still wouldn't go away.

Every name in the list comes up as an option, even without valid ticket media. That is why it is so irritating not being able to control your own list. Not having the option to delete people is ridiculous and yet another IT fail on disney's part.

IMHO one of many ...... I've had so many problems over the years...I could go on and on....

When I was there in September I wanted to remove some once and done people from MDX went to Guest Service at MK and they couldn't figure it out. Went the next day to the front desk of the hotel and they had to call IT to get them to do it. It was a bit of a process but it's done now. Bottom line, you will have to call or wait until you arrive and have the front desk call IT to take care of it before you hit the parks.

My other issue was that I wanted to clean up my MDX and remove old tickets that have no admissions left on them or MB that I no longer wanted to use. They couldn't get rid of those things for me, unfortunately.
