How do I know what site I'm going to get?

We booked a tent site for December 09 and have no idea how to tell what kind of a site we are going to get. I guess I'm also a bit confused because from reading on this site it seems that tents are allowed on more than 1 type of site. Is there a type of site we should have requested?

We booked our vacation online and did not speak with a Disney rep. But I did speak with a rep months ago when we were first thinking of booking and he told me that tents were only put on the loops with the lower numbers... Does this sound correct?

Lower numbered loops like the 100 loop are preferred loops. What kind of loop did you reserve? Was it partial hookup? Look at your reservation receipt.

I'm thinking you are going to be in either the 1500 loop or the 2000 loop. These are partial hookups. 1500 is across the street from the Meadows area. 2000 is near the cabins on the south end of the fort.

It just says tent/pop-up site. I think I will call and speak with a person!

Look again at your ressie. Tent/pop up should be referring to the type of camping equipment you are using. Somewhere on the ressie it should say: Partial Hook-Up Site,,,,Full Hook-Up Site,,,,Premium Site. The partial is the cheapest rate per nite and the rates go up per nite/per type, accordingly. What is the price per nite posted on your ressie?

I just spoke with a Disney rep, and she told me that tents can only go on 1500 or 2000. We got a partial hook-up site. I'm not sure what the price per night is -the reservation doesn't tell me that specific information.

I requested the 1500 loop because it looked more convenient. I was told that I couldn't be guaranteed that loop, but they would try to honor the request. Are both loops equally as convenient? I know that maps can sometimes be deceiving.

Thanks again for all of your help!

1500 is definitely more convenient to the Meadows area and also closer to the Settlement, but you can use the bus system to get around.

The CM is not correct, however, in that tents can be on any loop. You just pay more for full hook up or preferred. Most likely your reservation is for a partial hook up which would limit you to the 1500 or 2000 loops.

Thanks, Jim. The last CM I spoke to told me that only tents were located on the 100, 200 loops so it seems that I've been given misinformation all around!

Do you think it is worth going to a premium site to get the 100, 200, etc loops? Is the internal transportation system good?

I would save my money and stay with the partial hookups

The bus system is pretty good, and if you get the 1500 loop you won't need it to go to the pool or the trading post.

Perfect! Thanks, Jim. You've been really helpful!

Did I read in another thread that you are near the Lehigh Valley? We're right outside of Philadelphia.
