we are using me, and staying at bcv, is there a little store around, we can walk to or ddisney, just for quick brkfst...

Whle I've not stayed at BCV, don't all DVC resorts have a small grocery store that carries the basic items like coffee, bread, milk, eggs, frozen meals, donuts, some fruit, etc.? They charge high prices, but it is certainly the most convenient place for those type of items.

Yes, and BCV has a nice new store with basic grocery items, as well as some prepared foods - it's a great option!!!!

Yes, there is a store at the BCV that has grocery items. Apparently it has been recently redone, and actually has a lot more grocery items.

The BWV, just across the way, also has a store right on the Boardwalk with grocery items.

You're in a good location there as far as convenience is concerned.

I agree wholeheartedly with your inclusion of donuts in your list of the basics. :)

i was on allears and she has pix of everything but no store just a pool bar,and of course the clam bake and goofy's brkfst..but thank you i feel better now..i didn't want to be stranded eating out every meal...

If you're looking for something and BCV marketplace doesn't have it, check at the BW store. Almost everything is the same, but some things are different. And sometimes they're just out of something. When I stayed at BW in feb 04, they never had half and half, but BC did. When I stayed at BC in feb 05, I could never get half and half, but *of course* BW's store had it. Too funny.

Oh, and ask if you don't see something. The store didn't have any Tide so I asked the manager about it. Later that day he called to say he had tracked some down and put it aside for me. Very nice.

I don't think you can walk to Downtown Disney if that's what you were asking. There is the Rip Tide Lounge in the BC Lobby that has Coffee, Tea, Pastries, Fruit, Cereal, etc if you're just looking for something quick. If you want a sit down table service breakfast you could walk over to the Yacht Club Galley in the Yacht Club Lobby, if you're not interested in doing the Character Breakfast at Cape May Cafe.

There is also a Hess gas station just across the street from the Boardwalk front entrance. They have a much larger variety of food and drink than the stores at the Boardwalk and Beach club, and prices are better, too.

We bring coffee and stuff from home. It leaves an empty suitcase to fill to bring home. :teeth:

DH adn I were just talking about this and wondering if anyone else stopped there. I definitely think juice, milk, pop would be much cheaper.

& krispy kremes!!

btw, BW bakery is open early, & has great pastries, donuts, muffins, etc

By the way, that Hess Station has been keeping its gas prices low (compared to all over central FL), which is a welcome treat. It used to be that the two gas stations on DIS property charged much more than the off property area.

and does the bcv studio have toasters i saw a micro. just wondering about poptarts....

We find prices to be not too bad at the DVC "stores" However, the coffee selection is pretty miserable and expensive. If you are at all picky, bring some from home. We will be packing: coffee, sugar (in a little tupperware, or maybe I'll grab packets), Nesquik (the kids drink cocoa), salt and pepper. We can buy eggs, bread, milk, margerine and half and half at the store. It won't be cheap, but compared to transportation off site, it will be cheaper.

The Hess station is in walking distance, it is about a 5 min. walk from the picture of the front entrance to the Boardwalk that is shown in the post above! Although it sounds like you would be coming from the BVC which is prob. a 10 min walk to the front of the Boardwalk.
