I keep reading about people having pin codes and discounts. How and where do I get them?

If you figure it out, let us know. If you go over on the RESORTS board look under CODES AND DISCOUNTS and you'll find some pointers. Personally I've never gotten one and tried all the tricks in the book.

Whenever I log into my account and start pricing out vacations, I end up with a code, if Disney has codes for those dates. I told my cousin to do that and she got a code. Sometimes the codes aren't that good. Other times they've been great. I have no idea if that really has anything to do with it or not.

All you have to do is call Disney and ask if you have any pin codes attached to your name. We had one for a resort upgrade this last trip. Occassionaly I will get ones through the mail but that's pretty rare. We did recently get one for AOA though.

We've never got one. I really thought we would get one after our last trip. But, nope.

I had always wondered how you get codes and then I went on and priced out a vacation for DH and I and saved it on my account. I think I received 3 different personal codes after that (one was for free dining during a peak time, another was 30% off room, and I think the other was 10% off). They started rolling in about a month after I priced it out online.

I tried that and got nothing. And yes, I have checked my spam. It's been about four weeks.

Before joining DVC I got codes a lot. Years ago when we were young and broke and couldn't afford WDW I'd just call and act like I was booking a trip to ask resort questions and stuff and put a courtesy hold on a package and just let it expire. I was so silly to doit, but I loved calling disney haha... Well it must have done the trick, and I also have had an account on wdw.com for YEARS and have made maps, ordered DVDs etc. I got codes up until 2009 when we were DVC which bums me out, because I'd still book a nice resort discount if I were out of points.

This is exactly what we do and we will get one in the mail about 2 weeks later.

I agree with fiddling around on their website. Or register a new email with Disney sometimes works, too.

Now, it doesn't ALWAYS work........but it improves the odds that you'll get a code quite a bit:hyper:

I've tried every trick in the book too, and I think the advice posted on here is good!

I had comp tickets that I gave to my brother and his family to use at Disneyland...well..I used my email address to register and get them the DL vacation video. Since they didn't stay overnight (live in CA) they didn't book a room or buy tickets..and guess what??? I've gotten 3 codes for my BROTHER since then..(about 3 years ago) and have NEVER gotten a code for myself...SO frustrating!! :headache:

I called and inquired, and since I put my brothers name and address with Disney for the Vacation DVD..the code is saved for him alone..Really?? He hasn't spent a PENNY on Disney vacations..EVER..and I spend tens of thousands...come on..let's be fair here

I kept pricing a trip on their website and just when I was getting discouraged I got a pin code. It's worth a try.
