How do I get my hands on a 1999 DW luggage tag?

I asked this months ago, but didn't find what I was looking for. I thought I'd try again. I have collected tags with each one of our trips and I even was able to get DVC luggage tags on our latest trip in January to add to my collection. However, on our very first trip in 1999, for some reason, I threw away all of our tags! They were of the opening of Animal Kingdom. I would give anything to get one of those back. Any idea where I could get one? thanks.

I think I responded to your OP. I only have the Milennium Celebration tag from 1999, that has 2000 on it.

It has the Animal Kingdom logo or words on it, with the tree. But the only one I can seem to find on ebay (or with the help of the 2nd poster here, I think) is the one that has 1998 on it. That isn't the one that we had. Ours was 1999, but I can't remember if it had the year on it? I know ours didn't have the 1998 on it though.

Maybe I'm mistaken and this one that I'm looking at on ebay is the one. Does anyone know what the 1998 luggage tag looks like? Because I have the year 2000 one, so this way I can narrow it down. They couldn't have made 2 different ones for 1999, could they have?

I think there could have been two for 1999 because the MC didn't start until October.

I just checked mine, since I have a few of them. I have two different versions. The 1st version I have is red tags with the Animal Kingdom Logo along with "1998 - Inaugural Year" written on it. The other version (I have 5 of these) look exactly the same but does not have those words. And the paper on the flip side where you write your name is different, too - the "1998 Inaugural Year" one has little mickey ears all over it, and the "plain" one has one large mickey ear centered, and basically a white background.

I would guess the "plain" one is from my April 1999 trip, since I went with a large group, which is why I would have so many!

Jillpie, are you in luck! I have FIVE of those plain tags, in their original bags even, never opened! We got them from our travel agent, but we don't fly to Disney so we never needed them! They just been sitting in a drawer all this time. I'll be more than happy to mail you one!
