Is this through Member Services??

Is there a cost for an Owners Locker???

What Sizes are available ???

Mail a check to
Fatablie @ The Disboards!!!

Just kidding-
Yes there is an initial cost and an annual fee. There is/was a deal going on that reduced the initial cost and added extra visits each year for the first couple of years. I dont know the link, but I do have a locker and can tell you that they are fantastic!!!

Soemone will post everything you need, dont be surprised if it is John, one of the owners, that responds. Godd luck

THis is not a service provided by MS

....someone called me???
Hi PMDR,
We're not associated with Disney in any way. We're an independent company. I've been a DVC member since 1992 and my business partner, Brian Whitt, was my DVC Guide way back then. We started Owner's Locker about a year and a half ago and now have over 1000 Members. The DIS--Pete, Corey and Will--as well as lots of moderators/webmasters including Doc and Cricket, have really helped us get our name on the map. Here's a link to an exclusive deal we have for DISBoard members that will tell you about everything you need to know about us:

Have a look and let me know if you have any questions. We look forward to having you as one of our Members!

John

Hi, Maureen,
You can see from my signature that we consider Owner's Locker to be a godsend. We wish that this wonderful service had been available years ago. Thank heaven that John and Brian did more than wish--they made it happen. I have yet to hear anything but kudos regarding Owner's Locker. Check it out!

going to talk to DH about this. Seems like something I would like.

True, Owner's Locker is a private company. That means you can use your locker at "other" locations in the Orlando area as well.
They provide both the locker (storage box) and the service. That includes delivering it to your hotel when you arrive and then picking it up again at the end of your stay, and storing it until you return.

I have had 2 trips thus far with our OL and can't say enough good things about them! Sure makes packing for a trip much easier. :thumbsup2

The purple box comes with a sturdy removable divider that is several inches tall and is an amazing tool to maximize what you can store. There is also a good size fishing tackle sort of thing with compartments for small stuff.

The divider thingy reminds of the compartment module I bought for the car . Very useful to keep things organized in the car trunk.

It is really nice to have the locker delivered and picked up from the room. Saves a lot of hassles when flying.

We can do carryons only now.

Saves mucho time.

And time at WDW is a valuable commodity.

I already signed up for my Locker and I don't travel until October. I received a lovely welcome letter from John and have already purchasing items to ship down for my locker. I've heard nothing but good things about the company and the service which prompted me to sign up early. I know I won't be sorry to be a owner.

We are new clients of Owners Locker. Our first visit was back in November when we loaded it for the first time. This week we are returning for our first visit to a "full" locker. Its wonderful how little I have to pack.

I was hesitant, dh even more so. Now that we have it I can't tell you how invaluable it is.

The locker itself is of excellent quality, the service incredible. The amazing thing is that the bell services staff at the hotel were commenting on what a first class guy John was.

I am not surprised the bell services guys like him. We met John last September on the first night of our anniversary trip at on of the Epcot wine evenings. He is very customer oriented.

It was very interesting hearing about how his business came about. And we sure liked the wine.

The locker and DVC make a perfect duo.

Very good value for the cost for us.

I'm a new OL owner myself and am looking forward to my trip next week so I can leave half my stuff behind when I leave!

We are traveling down with all our stuff and using soft-sided duffles so we can smoosh them up and pack them home empty.

John, we'll see you a week from Tuesday at Epcot!!

Being the Queen of Frugal I was very hesitant about OL, but with the money back guarantee decided to give it a try. DH and I LOVE IT!!! Now I can't imagine going to WDW without my purple box waiting for me. It has made packing for our trips much easier and made unpacking when we arrive back home much easier too.

And as others have said, the service is outstanding.

Thanks for the very kind words, gang.

As a father of four daughters who really thought of Old Key West as their "home," I learned how much it meant to have your personal items around you and it's neat to allow others to do that.

I must say that I'm always a bit puzzled by the compliments about customer service. All Brian and I do is treat people the way we would like to be treated.

....and who wouldn't enjoy hanging around the France pavilion on Tuesday evenings meeting nice people and having a glass (or two) of wine! It's also a great way to learn how we can do things better!

John

John, You know you guys rock!!! ( not bad for a KEWL old Guy LOL)

Funny how that sceond locker fills up, LOL

Carry on travel for us, totally awsome....

Yes you treat us as you would like to be treated, a lost art but greatly appreciated by s folks that remeber the days of yore.

lol, I can think of worse jobs. mine for example!

I am curious what you store in the OL? Are you storing clothes and personal items? My DH and I are notorious over packers and I would love some way to cut back on that, especially now that the airlines charge you for everything.

Mine is packed to the brim, literally. Most of my contents relate to needed things in a 2br villa, dishwasher, Crisco pan spray, and laundry detergent Dropps pillows, clothes drier sheets, pizza pan and pizza slicer, trash bags, cutting board and a good knife.

Other items are useful in the studio as well, my favorite pampered chef small pan for the microwave, ziplock bags, garbage bags, and the all important wine and beer bottle openers.

I've got items we only use at DW like ponchos, lanyards, and pins, blister blocker and a battery operated fan.

I've got a few extra pieces of clothing and some comfy slippers.

I have duplicates like small umbrella, regular size bottles of shampoo, and alarge variety of toiletries, hairbrush, extra toothbrushes, floss, and extra razor blades.

I have a big variety of OTC meds with long shelf lives.

I keep an extension cord, batteries, clothespens, matches and a candle, a flashlight, a small sewing kit, several kinds of tape, wet ones, and lysol wipes.

For the kitchen I have some ziplock bags and containers, salt & pepper, Crystal lite packets, Stevia artificial sweetener, paper plates and bowls, and plastic utensils.

Needless to say, I need another locker as mine is full. I'd like to leave some shoes and some other items. Most of the above items are more practical than fun.

To get some more ideas, check out the OL website, there are some great lists.

We store mostly personal items- full size shampoo, shower gel, deodorants, hair brushes, toothbrushes, etc. The tackle box has a TON of small items- my razor, batteries, a small sewing kit, LED flashlight, bandaids, a corkscrew, chapstick and much more!
My DH has a large (impossible to pack) straw hat that he only wears in WDW- that's in the box, along with my visor, Minnie ears and water bottle straps! I have flip flops and laundry detergent; some liquor (small airline bottles) and tylenol ;) ; sunscreen and hand lotion. We even have a small fan for "white noise" at night.
We initially thought we would keep clothes in there too, but on our second trip decided against that. Clothes- for the season we travel- is all we have to pack. And since we stay in DVC villas- we only pack clothes for about half the trip, and do laundry while we are there.
Our trip in March should be carry-ons only!!!:cool1:

Check out their website- there are some sample packing lists there to help you get started.

Do you mail the items ahead of time or just fill it on your first time using it?

We filled it the first time because DH drove to WDW and I packed a rubbermaid full of stuff for him to bring over.

We were carrying a lot of the stuff (not the cutting board and knife and pampered chef pot) each time, had an extra suitcase full, or had it packed in the car.

We alternate flying and driving, never know which method of transportation we will take as it depends on airfare.

Regardless, I no longer use my packing list Word document.

There is a place on the OL site where you can list all the stuff you pack, and edit as necesary. Now when I get on OL to schedule delivery, I print off the list from there at the same time.

I actually think the most efficient scenario would be to have one for stays in a 2 BR and one for studios or regular WDW resort rooms, because our pattern seems to be multiple trips in different room categories. Some duplicate items would be in both.
