How do I get a certain camping spot?

I called and got reservations for our 11/29-12/5 trip to WDW at Fort Wilderness. I requested a pet loop and actually said I want loop 300. The reservation person said she couldn't guarantee a pet spot. I told her we are traveling with 2 80-lb dogs and need a guarantee that they will have a place to stay. Is there any way to get a guaranteed spot??????? If I can't guarantee a spot for my "children", this may cancel my trip to WDW.

They always tell you "no guarantees". Just make sure pets and 300 loop is noted on your ressie. If 300 happens to be full they will put you in another pet loop. No worries when you get there you will have a site to camp on with your pups.

I have read in other posts that you can fax the resort your request. I looked at my reservation they emailed me and it does say I have pets, but nothing about the loop 300 request. Should I fax them my request?

I honestly wouldn't worry about it. You told them you were bringing pets, and even if 300 loop is full when you arrive, you will then be put in 100 or 200. Your pets will be allowed to stay. (If a Pet loop is full, then they automatically designate another loop as Pet Overflow)

As far as faxing Ft. Wilderness directly, that can be done 5 days out. Not until. Ft. Wilderness does not even see the reservation until then.
