How do I fit Ohana into my ADR?

I have a 5pm Ohana dinner ADR on 12/7. Can I make it to Wishes and Spectro early enough to get a good spot? My other option would be to do Ohana on 12/5 but we would like to get to Epcot for Illumination that night. We also have Coral Reef lunch on 12/5 and will be dinning with friends and family that day which may be too much to coordinate with DD5 and DD2. What do you think? I would really like to do Ohana.

We ate at Ohana two times once at 4:30 and again at 5:00 on another day and i think the maximum time we were there was about 1 1/2 hours. That should leave you plenty of time for Spectro which doesnt start until 9:00. We actually couldnt see sitting for a spot for an hour and just winged it. During 20 minutes prior found a spot on Main street a few rows back which was fine with me because i did see alot of the show days prior also. A nice woman let my younger girl sit up front with her. People do start to get their spots an hour before but you can also get an ok spot 1/2 hour before.

Spectro does start at 7:00 that night, with Wishes at 8:00. Personally, I think you'll be cutting it too close for Spectro but should have no problem for Wishes. You have to eat dinner, catch the monorail, stop at the GF, get to the MK, go through Security, go through the gates and get onto Main Street for the parade. For me that would be too much of a rush with no guarantee that I'll get there in time. If you go into it with the possibility that you might not make it for the parade you'll be fine. If, however, Spectro is a "must do" for you I'd either cancel 'Ohana or try to rework the schedule to go to Spectro on a different night.

This might be because our ADR was at 8:05, but we were at 'Ohana for two hours. I know it was past 10 when we left because Wishes had already started (this was in June). A friend of mine said that the earlier ADRs are more rushed than the later ones. Our server pretty much vanished about an hour into our dinner, so the dessert was very delayed and then there was a long wait for the check.
