How do I find these CODES?

Hi everyone!

I'm new here! I've lurked many times in the past. What a wealth of information! You people have made my yearly trips WONDERFUL! Thanks!

I am an AP holder and am a Florida resident. Yet when I call Disney reservations, (they are very nice, but) there are never any AP rates available for the hotels I would like. Are there a limited number of rooms available to AP holders? Any other ways of finding discounts???

I am running in the Minnie Marathon and planning to arrive on May 2 and leave may 7th. I would prefer to stay at the Yacht or Beach Club, Boardwalk, or if nothing else, the Swan or Dolphin. The race course runs right past these on the way to the back entrance of EPCOT.

Can anyone tell me how to find the best rates here? I have read a little about the DVC timeshare rentals. I may look into that as well.

Hi, Kelly!

I always check AP availability online through Disney's website. There are special links for Passholders and Florida Residents. You can put in your dates & resort choice. If what you want doesn't show as available, you can try different combinations without inconveniencing anyone! Sometimes even taking off a day or adding a day will make a difference in what shows as available.

When I see availability for what I want, I call CRO and book through them (they have better cancellation terms than booking online). I hope I didn't just confuse you more!

I did just what you suggested. I had to do a little adjusting for my dates, and will have to split the days. You were a big help!

Here's what I booked:
Beach Club: May 3-7 (290.95 per night)

I checked online today for the prices to see if I could do better. I could not believe it when I put in the same info and the price was 437.64 a night!!!)
Whew! Glad I booked yesterday! Thanks again!

Glad that worked for you! Keep checking the website though - sometimes exactly what you want WILL show up out of the blue; then you can call CRO and get the reservation adjusted.

Thanks for reminding us about the minnie marathton. I know that this event is causing some limited availability for rooms. When I booked my DVC resort at the 7 month window, I had to waitlist for some of the days I needed and they happened to be during the marathon week. So when folks start posting that there is limited availability during the first week of May, hopefully now they'll know what is causing some of the limited availability.
