How do I convince my husband to go to WDW?

My DH likes Disney but I am an addict now thanks to this board as well as having a wonderful vacation this past August. ;) DH has told me numerous times that we aren't going back until the kids are much older..DD is 3 and DS will be 2 in Dec. But he enjoyed watching our kids so much that we are booked to go back next year. He doesn't like all the planning or how obessesd making ADRs can make a person! :lmao: I just look for reasons to go back...our next trip Oct 2009 I used the excuse that this will be the last year year before DD starts kindergarten and Aidan's last year that he will be free! I also rented DVC points and got an amazing deal so he's not complaining about a price tag as of yet since he realized that we will be staying at AKV for almost 200 less than Pop!

Good luck!

i hear ya, but my hubby knows I dont ask much of him and he truly is the sweetest man on earth but he doesnt like disney at all but this will be his 5th visit........................my brother has CP and he helps get him into and out of his wheelchair or else he could stay home so he usually dont mind since my brother needs us

Your husband sounds like a great guy!:thumbsup2 Deep down I think this is a $ issue for my husband. On 2 previous trips to WDW he was there for a work related conference, so we didn't have to foot the whole bill. I need to break it down and show him what it would cost with this new promo they have going now. And what it would be without. So I guess I have some homework to do!:)

Tell him that if he's not interested in going, you know this guy (me) who would gladly fill in for him with your family for a week in WDW ! And I cook for my wife every nite of the week ! LOL!! Good luck!!

Thanks to all of you for your suggestions on how to convince my DH to go back to WDW:worship: Especially Vanillarum!:lmao: I may have to take you up on that offer sometime! But I'm glad to report we're now in the bargaining stage, and that is good for me.;) He said we can go, if he can get a car he can fix up.:woohoo: His hobby is cars-buying them real cheap and fixing them up. :confused3 I myself don't get the fun in that, but I'm sure many of you out there can relate to my hubby. Now I(we) just have to decide when! I originally wanted to go in Oct for our anniversary, but the new promo ends in June. I'm thinking early or mid April. So, hopefully I'll be writing a pre-trip report soon! Thanks again Dissers for your thoughts and suggestions!

Um, adult favors? :thumbsup2 Offer him one (fill in the blank) every time you see Mickey. It's kind of a couples' drinking game!

:rotfl2: :lmao: :worship:

I seriously about fell ot of my chair laughing! I made my dh stop his video game and I asked him if it would work on him.

My husband likes Disney, but he is not obsessed about Disney like I am. My daughters share my excitement, and my sister does too. My sister and I are taking both our families in May to the Beach Club Villas for 10 days. We are trying to convince our parents (whom have been once, 10 years ago when we took them) and our two brothers and their families, to join us. Unfortunately, our brothers and their wives have absolutely no interest. They both have children who have never been to Disney and would love to go, especially on a family trip with their cousins. I even tempted them by telling them I would watch the kids a few nights so they could go out on an adult night. It would be a great Christmas gift to the kids....the kids could all plan together and experience the "magic" together. My sister-in-law says..."it's a nice gesture, but we really have no interest". They just have never been and don't have a clue as to what they are missing. Even my 5 year old nephew keeps telling my brother "take me to see Mickey!". I just don't get it. :headache:

Do what I do....book the vacation and tell him he's going! Works every time!!!:thumbsup2
