How do I buy G+ before trip

I have already bought my tickets through Undercover Tourist, linked them in my Disney account and reserved my park entry days but from what I am reading I feel I now want to buy Genie Plus for the entire length of my stay. Can I do this now or do I have to wait and buy it daily once we are through the gates. I have looked at the Disney website but I don't see anywhere to buy it as an after add on. Looks like you can only buy it when you are buying your tickets. Anyone have any thoughts, thanks.

Because of the way you bought your tickets , you will have to wait until you get there and buy it each day after you enter a park.

Some third party tickets do have Genie + included for length of stay, buy you have to specifically buy that deal.

I bought my tickets for June direct from Disney and there was an option to add Genie+ for length of stay before checkout.

So I've found out, thanks to the helpful people on this site, that you purchase it in your Disney app after you enter the park. I chose NOT to buy Genie+ with my tickets, but to wait and do it on the day, so we could see if we liked it, then we could just continue to get it each day or not. It costs the same to do it either way.

Yes, and you will have to since you bought tickets without it already added. I think it’s better because you really may not want/need to use it every single day.

To be honest, I have only added it to one-day tickets. But I am pretty sure it will be day by day on multi-day tickets.

At the end of January I had 3 day 1 park tickets. I had to add it every day after I scanned in. On my Disneyland days I sat at a bench at the top of Main Street, on my DCA day I sat a bench just inside the gates. While it was easy and quick to do, it still took a few minutes and I missed out on the photopass photographer in front of the Train Station just inside the turnstiles. Thats why I added it for length of stay for my June trip, as it will be automatically activated once I get scanned in. Also it helps with my budgeting, I have it all paid for now and I don't have to include it in my park spending money.

If I were to just add it to mine as soon as we scanned in, then used that for Photopass at the front, then added for the rest later, I would assume that would work since I can just use the connected Photopass to my own park pass?

Seems simple enough, but just checking if there's something I'm missing, since I've never had to deal with this before.

Yes, this would work. Scan everyone in, and then don't go under the bridges, just stand to one side, and add Genie + on one ticket. Then get your photos at the entrance in front of the train station. When the photographer is finished, they will ask you to open the App, and click into the photos and then click link photopass. This brings up a barcode. Screencap this barcode. The photographer will then scan the barcode and about a minute or so later you can see the photos in the App.

Then as you walk into the park, if you see a photographer, you are good to go.

My mistake was not going back out to the front when I bought Genie+, its automatic, to just walk up Main Street when you arrive and never having used Photopass before, I never really took much notice of the photographer at the entrance.

You really wouldn't save any time by purchasing for one person. You don't have to go through the full purchase process for every ticket. As long as all the tickets are in your app, it's a simple check mark next to each ticket, then one quick transaction.

I believe you need to do it each day. The only way to apply it to the entire trip is to buy it at the same time as the tickets. It isn't a huge deal to buy it every day though, and you might have a day where you don't need it/want it and you'll save the money doing it daily.

Yes, it will be a day-by-day thing after scanning into the park. I did it daily for my 2-day hoppers when we were there last week. It only takes a minute or two to add on in the app.

It's basically the same amount of trouble as adding MaxPass when you get inside the parks, right? I seem to recall having to do that every day after getting inside the turnstiles.

So you can add genie+ until you get into the park, but what time can you get your first LL pick? Is that at official park opening?

I have Canadian resident tickets that had maxpass and apparently I need to go to guest services and they will refund that on to a gift card and then I need to add genie every day. So annoying so I bought max pass to avoid doing this.
