How do annual passes run?

Do annual passes to the parks run on a calendar year or from the date you purchase them?

date you purchase.. thanks for reminding me. mine expire in Oct.. early OCt as i recall.

On the date you activate them.
You can purchase an AP today, activate it on October 1st 2019, and it will be good until October 1st 2020.

Passes are good for 366 days from the date you activate. 1 year + 1day.
