How difficult is it to book the a Poly studio 7 months out during May- August?

How difficult is it to book a Poly studio 7 months out during May- August? I'd like to do a short stay there at one point, but curious as to how availability 7 months out during these months typically is. TIA.

Extremely easy for a short stay, especially if you're flexible on dates within that window.

Pre-pandemic, they were usually readily available at 7-months out from May through August, and that included holidays during those months. For 2021 and 2022, there have been some times during that period, when they they were shown as full before 7-months out. Likely that is a factor of (a) members wanting to get back as soon as they can after not having reservations for so long, (b )the excess banked points issue (members accumulated a lot of banked points during the pandemic that need to be used). Also, in the last few years, DVC has been doing annual point shifts, which have raised the points needed to reserve per night in the fall season, while lowering them from May to August. The full effect of those point changes has not yet been realized and 2023 reservations may be a key year to watch for changes in prior demand patterns, e.g., first half of May has decreased in points needed significantly, now becoming one of the least point-cost times of the year

Thanks! I was actually really surprised at how low the points were on the Poly. I was expecting them to be a lot higher. I'm going to keep an eye out as next year's months start opening up to book.

Easily booked full weeks this past year in July at Poly. I had my choice of the entire month with the exception of Fourth of July week.

We got 2 studios for a full week in May this year at 7 months.
