I'm heading to Disney with my DW and 2-year-old son in late May. We booked our trip direct through Disney reservations, but I'm curious how other Canadians booked their trip. How did you book and why?

We always do tons of research and then book everything ourselves. Have had terrible experiences with travel agents in the past. If anything goes wrong now I only have myself to blame!! ;)

We made our first booking with a TA and every subsequent trip has been booked on our own we found we could get discounts and deals that the TA either couldn't or wasn't willing to try to attain for us.

We booked direct with disney since we wanted the dining plan package. But had we not went with that I would have booked everything myself.

Our first trip we booked through a TA, and have decided to not go that route again, as we like to have control of our vacation.

I booked my trip through Disney directly, and I didn't realize that there would be a discount through CAA. I called Disney back to give them my CAA #, and they told me I'd have to cancel my reservation (which I've already paid the deposit), and have a CAA agent call to rebook it.....?? I don't understand this. People have said on here that they've booked directly with Disney and gave their AAA #'s.
