How did the Star Wars hotel connect to the park?

I thought it basically had a door or elevator directly entering Galaxy’s Edge but seeing photos of the recent conversion, it looks like it was set off far more than I ever realized. Anyone know how guests got in and out?

There was a shuttle vehicle that went from the hotel to Galaxys Edge.

I forget the specific details of the storyline but it was a highly themed “transport shuttle” to take you to/from Batu. It sounds odd but it actually pulled off the illusion/immersion quite well.

I seemed to recall people talking about taking some sort of shuttle bus to/from the park & hotel. I don't believe it was within walking distance.

You're right about the shuttle bus. The distance isn't really that far but it would have destroyed the theming as the back side of GE is not intended to be seen. It's all raw steel and concrete.
