How did I miss this - airport food court?

So, I am researching DME which we will be using for the first time and am looking at a map of MCO. And, I see a food court listed. Hmmm, I have never noticed this when at the airport. Yes, my contacts were in. I saw the hotel atrium and many shops including Disney, Sea World, Universal and Kennedy Space before going through security. There was a fountain and lots of nice benches where I left DH while shopping. What gives here? Which way should I have turned to see all of this food? Is this area new or around the corner somewhere?

Thanks,
Tammy

If you walk to the fountain in Terminal A and then toward the Sea World shop, first face the security lines and then do a 180 and look right behind you. You'll see a hallway leading away from you that has people-mover walkways leading into it. They lead past the food court to Terminal B.

AFAIK, it has been there since the present airport teminals opened for business.

Save the food court for arriving in Orlando.

When you are flying out, you need to get inside security as quickly as possible since you don't know how much more time you would need to clear security after eating.

I always find that food court when taking DME back to MCO and arriving on Side A. I can never find my way to where I'm supposed to be at that point. You would think that someone who has been to WDW and MCO as many times as I wouldn't get so turned around in there!!!

Thanks. We've always been B side, Delta gates. I do worry about how long it will take to go through security so usually eat on the other side, but don't much like the choices. DS always wants Burger King. I was thinking we could grab our food to go and take it with us - I am guessing this is ok with TSA as long as we don't have drinks??

We flew AirTran last trip, we used ME and were at the airport early. We quickly made it through security and we found an Outback near our gate. We normally do not eat at Chain's, unless someone gives us a GC, and that lunch was probably the best meal we have had at an Outback. Their sandwiches were great. Very quick service and a friendly staff, lots of seating. It was a nice surprise.
