Unfortunately we are planning on going to Magic Kingdom on the 26th (we were able to reserve Cinderlla castle breakfast).

Any guesses on how bad the crowds will be that week??

Thanks

Hi

I think you should prepare yourself for some crowds...I believe alot of kids have that week off as winter vacation....

Have fun!

From Deb Willis Website:

Highest Attendance:
Presidents' week in February
Mid March through Late April ("Spring Break")
Memorial Day weekend
Mid June through Labor Day
Thanksgiving Day and weekend
Christmas week through New Year's Day

Presidents weekend will be extremely crowded at WDW. We are going to be there at the same time...I am hoping that the rest of the week will not be too bad. Make plans to use EMH if you are staying on property, and definitely use fast pass. As far as the 26th, that is a Saturday, and weekends often bring local crowds to the MK. That weekend is also ESPN weekend over at MGM, and will be going on Fri.-Sun.

Have Fun!

HMMMM. I have not heard of ESPN weekend. What exactly does this entail? Anyone ever been? Sounds like my DH would have a ball! ;)

Thanks!

I think the ESPN weekend has lots of interviews with sports figures and stuff like that, set up throughout MGM. Also, I think I read somewhere Millionaire will be all sports questions.

We will be there at the end of the week (25th to 2nd), into the next. THe only question I have is that if they are expecting large crowds, why are the parks closing early. I think MK is open until10 on 26th and 27th, but after that everything closes at 8pm. (not including EMH)

I am hoping (fingers crossed) that the end of the week wont be so bad, and if MGM is too crowded, we'll do it after the weekend.

It didn't ocour to us that we would be there part of presidents week when we planed out trip. Hubby's college has spring break the 1st week of March every year and this year it ended up being more the last week of Feb. So we will be there Feb 25 to March 4th. I am thinking that Fri and Sat might be bad, but I am hoping crowds die down after that. (lets hope.)

Thinking: I'd enjoy my breakfast with the princesses, maybe see an attraction before if you have time, or after if things seem not-too-busy, and then I would hop outta dodge to another park before noon, latest.

We're going the 19-26th, and expect things to be busy. But, between the unofficial guide and tourguidemike, we are ready. Plus, even a bad day at WDW beats a day in the snowbound upper midwest.

It will be crowded but make sure to take advantage of fast pass. We were there a week and a half ago during MLK weekend and it was packed. But, we used fast pass on just about everything and never stood in line longer than 20 minutes.

Thanks everyone for your suggestions.

Good thing is we will be staying at the Contemporary for the weekend, so we can head back to the hotel if we get too tired of the crowds. We want to make sure our 3 and 5 year olds get to see the fireworks at night. So we will have alot of time to kill between Cinderella breakfast and the fireworks.

If there was anyway I could have convinced my kids to pull their kids out of school and avoid that week, I would have. It was difficult to get plane fair from the Northeast. I'm geered up for crowds, and I know I'm going to see them. This past Saturday was pretty busy over at MK.

The 26th of February is also the Singabration Celebration. There is a website dedicated ot the event. It is.... http://www.americasings.org/DisneyEvent.htm

This is a quote from the site, "Up to 700 individual singer/dancers from choral ensembles from across the United States will join to make up the third Massed-Choir Ensemble ever to perform on the premier venue of Walt Disney World, the Forecourt Stage of Cinderella Castle. This ensemble will also march down Main Street USA as a parade unit in the afternoon parade."

I am thinking an additional 700 singers and their families to an already crowded weekend could make for a mess down Main St. :(

We arrive on the 26th and I am really concerned about the crowds. :(

Crazeddizfan,

We arrive on the 25th. I'm hoping the crowds will subside after the 27th. We're going to avoid MK until Monday and go to EPCOT and AK on the weekend, maybe MGM if the DH wants to check out ESPN Weekend.
