How crowded just BEFORE Thanksgiving?

I want to take my two nieces - ages 7 and 10 - the Saturday before Thanksgiving and depart to come home on Wednesday. We would arrive early on Saturday, check in and hit the parks giving us 4 hotel nights and basically 4 park days.

This is a tentative plan. If it's a really crowded time I would choose another because they have never been and I don't want to spend thet whole time standing in lines.

Anyone with any experience just before Thanksgiving?

Haven't been THAT week, but last year we went the week right before that and it was GREAT! Short lines, not too crowded, nice weather - warm enough to swim but not humid.

Have fun!

if i were you i would move your trip up one week::yes::

we went last november 14-19 (quickie anniversary trip, just dh and i) and the crowds were really really low!! they started to get a bit more crowded by the 19th.

at one point TOT was a literal walk on, we did it twice in a row! and this was in the afternoon.

mk always seemed to be a bit more crowded but not overly so. it's a fantastic time to go! the weather was beautiful, not hot but warm enough to wear shorts and swim. a light jacket at night.

We went the time period you are talking about and found the crowds quite large. The week before Thanksgiving or week after are much less crowded.

We went that week this year and it was pretty crowded definetly got more and more crowded as it got closer to Thanksgiving. However, you may not be able to get your neices out of school any earlier. Even though it is crowded, it is a great time of year to go. The weather is usually really nice and they already have a lot of the Christmas decorations out. To me the crowds are much more managable when it is not too hot. I would not hesitate to go at the same time again. You just have to do a little more planning and arrive early to the parks.

It has been my personal experience that the parks in general have been very crowded this past year and I think they will continue to be crowded this year with the gatherings program and Disney's aggressive marketing campaign. Like my husband says it is always pretty crowded so just pick a time that works for you and weather that works for you and go for it.

We went 2 weeks before Thanksgiving last year and the crowds were very thin. We did need to get fast passes for many of the kid rides in MK, but I think that is a given no matter when you go! Incidentally, the weather was perfect (high in the 80's and low in the 60's, no rain). And, to top it all off, the Christmas decorations were up in many places!
