How crowded does BWV get during the Food & Wine Festival

We have a 6 night stay coming up in October at BWV. We probably won't take part in many of the F&W festivities and were considering checking with MS on availability at VWL or OKW to "swap" room for room. We really enjoy the BoardWalk but one of the reasons we are visiting in October is to take advantage of the lower crowd conditions in the parks---are we unintentionally subjecting ourselves to crowded conditions at BWV?

We do the F&W often. And yes, if your looking for a quiet get away you would be better served at OKW or even more so at VWL

We were at the BWV mid-late October 2004 during the Food and Wine Festival and did not notice the crowds at the BWV. We were told at check-in that the resort was full, but we never had a problem finding chairs or a table at the pool and there were never more than 6 other people waiting at the bus stop with us. We loved WDW and BWV in October!!!!!

We've been at BVW for both F&G and F&W and have never had a problem with any crowds in the Boardwalk.

I doubt it will be crowded beyond belief, but it will certainly be more congested in the Epcot area than elsewhere. Folks who are interested in partaking of the F&W Festivities will want to stay within walking distance.

We are staying in a 2BR at the BWV from October 24-29, and hoping for a 2BR to open for the 22nd & 23rd so we don't have to start at OKW & move to BWV. We'd like to do the whole thing at BWV.

Sp[, if perchance your reservation is for a 2BR at BWV and encompasses the nights of October 22 & 23, then do move to VWL!!!! I am sure you'll enjoy it much more!!!! (Then I can slither into your 2BR for those 2 nights!!! )

The crowds will be terrible there......if you have a studio from November 3rd through the 7th I suggest you change......this advice really has nothing to do with our waitlist.

Seriously though, we have stayed at BCV the last several years during F&W Fest and have never noticed that the resorts are any more crowded. WorldShowcase is very crowded in the evenings but the Boardwalk isn't too bad.
