How crowded/ busy before Thanksgiving??

We made reservations last night for Fort Wilderness...SO EXCITED. We'll be there with our two daughters (6 years and 17 months at time of trip).

We are going down on Wednesday November 17 2010 and leaving the 24th (Day before Thanksgiving).

Just wondering how crowded it is and when the crowds start coming in.

We went to Fort Wilderness this past Thanksgiving. We arrived on 11/16 and left on 11/27..the day after T'giving. The week was very quiet until the Wednesday before T'giving and then it got a little crazy in the campground and just crowds in general. We went to the MVMCP on 11/19 and had so much fun...walk on rides etc...that we went back on 11/20. We didn't do any other Disney parks except those two party days...for us it was a cheaper way to get into the parks for 8 hours. (you can enter at 4pm and parks are open until midnight on Party nights)

Our time at the Fort was very quiet that week preceeding up to the holiday and think it worked out to be a great time to be there.

We stayed in All Star Sports over Thanksgiving week, left the day before Thanksgiving.

It was not bad at all. Normal lines as compared to the other times we have been. Nothing like what I had read as it being the busiest time of year and all. We got rained out hard on our last day and decided to head home early. It rained all day long, kind of bummed we lost that day of tickets, but what can you do!

If you can book ressies at Liberty Tree Tavern, it is the BEST Thanksgiving style dinner.

It was warm enough to swim too, so consider bathing suits if you have kids, and definitely bring your own ponchos, they sell them there, but who wants to pay $10 for $1 poncho from Walmart!!

We booked 11/14 - 11/20, the week B4, the week of Thanksgiving.

We were at PoP the week before Thanksgiving 11/16/09-11/19/09 and were surprised at how uncrowded it was. PoP was empty! There were never more than 10 of us in the pool at any one time. We also went to the MVMCP and found the crowds small there on 11/17. It's our new favorite time to go!
