How crowded are the water parks on 4th of July?

Being that 4th of July is on a Wednesday this year, it may not be as crowded as it would be on a weekend? Still, many locals will have off of work, which I'm sure it will bring in more crowds than a regular day.

Anyone been to either of the water parks on the holiday? How crowded vs. a regular summer day? Thoughts? Thanks!

We went to TL this past July 4th and it was crowded but we still had a great time. Just get there within an hour of opening and it shouldn't be too bad.

Every hot day will be a busy day at the water parks..especially July 4th, Wedensday or not. Remember that kids are out of school for the most part, and parents are off work. Even when it's packed it is still manageable..I agree with PP..get there an hour before opening to secure a spot.

Thank you both~ getting there at opening is not an option, so that's what I was afraid of...we'll have to weigh the option of going with the crowds as it will be the only day it would work for us. Glad to hear it's still manageable when crowded. Thanks!!
