How crowded are the parks late January...

especially on early entry days?

We are going Jan.22 - 29th and the order we want to hit the parks is the same as the early entry days, which is fine because we plan to get there early to take advantage.

I am just wondering if anyone has any experience on how crowded the early entry park will get later in the day this time of year - I would really like to spend the whole day at each park and not have to park hop to get away from the crowds. WEetypically go in mid to late Oct. - any comparison on crowd size to that time of yeat would be helpful, too.

Crowds are thin

That being said, you'll still need PS for supper at popular restuarants - like 'Ohana if you're going to want to eat there at 6pm or so...
and there will still be line-ups, like at Peter Pan just after Mickey's Philharmagic lets out...

but if you're at the parks for EE, you'll be able to have all the big rides done by 10:30am or so...

We went at that same time last year and had a blast! Since we are from Minnesota, we didn't mind that it was pretty cool. The kids will swim if there's not ice on the pool! Crowds were great. Small wait for Space Mountain in the middle of the day, otherwise walked from the end of a ride right back on many times. Buzz Lightyear comes to mind. Must have gone on that one 6 or 7 times in a row. You will have fun!!!

we've been quite a few times in Janary and the crowds cant be beat, however with that said pack warm since the weather can be a bit unpredictable and keep watch on the park opening and closing times, they keep shorter hours during January

So glad this post was here. I was wondering how chilly and how crowded the parks would be myself . We are going Jan 23-29. Must be a popular week!!

Our family of five will be there that week as well! Maybe we'll see each other. I'm hoping for low attendance. Last time we went the first week in December and it was incredibly quite with gorgeous weather. I can't believe we're less than 3 weeks away from leaving!!

How cold is cold? I'm from upstate NY and if it's not snowing that's got to be a good thing.

avg high is 72. Can be colder or warmer, but I'll bet it will be warmer than home!

I used to live in Orlando.....you basically have all the parks to yourself. have fun!

My wife and I go the last week of January every year and LOVE it that time of year! The crowds are nonexistent and it is the least rainy month of the year.

The down side to going in January is you have to pack for two seasons. During the day you can be walking around in shorts and a tee shirt but once the sun goes down it can drive you to a jacket and scarf. The worst weather we have seen was hovering just north of freezing and we didn't pack for that type of weather but with a little Disney Magic and another beer at Pleasure Island we were able to survive.

If you do go in January and fall in love with it please don't tell too many people about it as we like it just the way it is.

We are heading to Disneyworld - Jan 26 - Feb 5.
Right now at Nebraska we are getting freezing rain for 2 days and slick roads, and cold, cold winds. & by tomorrow night have 15 inches of snow on top of 5 inches of ice.
Any temp - any crowds is going to be better then this weather.

we are leaving on the 26 of Jan. We were told it is not crowded. Also there are cheerleading compititions in jan.

Looks like a great time to go. We are leaving in 12 days. I was a little worried about the weather, but anything will be better than 13 degrees!
