How crowded are the parks in June?

I am looking at doing a trip to DL with the family June 21 -24. We would be in the parks Sunday afternoon through Tuesday and go home Wednesday. It looks like the Deluxe and So Cal Select are blocked out that entire time. With that knowledge, will there be a significant difference between weekend and weekday crowds? Will it be crowded enough that FPs will run out (using that as a guide for overall crowd levels)?

Somewhat related question, would it be worth it to stay at Paradise Pier so I can get EMH into DCA one morning?

I think it’s a great time of year to visit with a portion of annual passholders blocked out. Weekends can be busier but it’s not always crazy. Honestly, Mondays are often busier than any other day of the week! I avoid Mondays for this reason. Wednesday is my favorite day to visit followed by Thursday and even Friday, which can be nice until people get off work and come to the parks in the evening. No matter the day, as long as you arrive before park opening for rope drop and gave a good plan (and MaxPass if you can), any day can be great!

Thanks. My daughter's 20th birthday is Tuesday, June 23 so switching the days of the week isn't really an option. I appreciate the heads up. We will definitely be doing Park Hoppers and Max Pass.

To answer your EMH question...

In my experience (I’ve done it 3 times this year) DCA is pretty vacant during EMH since it is only hotel guests and doesn’t include Magic Morning guests.

Of course most everyone heads to RSR. You can get a ton done, including booking FPs. Really helps make quick work of DCA.

So I’d definitely go for it if staying on property is an option.

Isn't the Summer among the slowest times of the year? Disneyland was deserted last Summer. Walk on most of the E-Ticket rides mid-day during Summer 2019.

Summer 2019 was an anomaly, and I wouldn't base any crowd predictions on that alone. But, summer in general? As soon as Grad Nites are over and the lower passes are blocked, it really does become a better time to go. Really not like Holiday Time or Spring Break once the lower passes are blocked -- the longer hours, increased staffing, and fuller entertainment schedule help keep the crowds moving and spread out throughout the parks. June Gloom is a great help in getting more done in the earlier hours of the day, before the weather gets too warm. We love Saturdays in summer when the lower passes are blocked.

I think last year was an odd exception because of SWL opening late in the season.
Generally speaking, summer is crazy crowded and with ROTR opening in Jan, I suspect this summer will be record setting.

I honestly think late June is ok for crowds. They aren't low, but they aren't insane either. The crowds to me didn't really pick up until about mid/late July.
