Hi! I'm planning my first 4 night cruise for DH and I and another couple. I'm a little sensitive to crowds in small spaces. I've been to WDW in the summer and I was fine, but I'm concerned at being cooped up on a ship. I've obviously never been on a cruise. Since we'll be two adult couples, no kids, I'm really interested in how crowded the adult-only areas get. From the amount of places available, I'm thinking if one place is too crowded for me, I should be able to find somewhere else to go. Is that correct? We'll probably go in the fall, if that effects anything.

So how crowded does the ship in general get? And...
How crowded do the adult only areas (pool, bars, lounges, ect.) get?

Thanks!!

We were only on a 3 night cruise in November '04, so we didn't have a long time on the ship. I must say that I thought the adult pool was usually pretty full. We always managed to find 2 lounge chairs, but just barely. The shio in general did not feel crowded to us. There was a room for adults adjacent to the pool and it was nearly always empty.

Let's just say we didn't spend much time in the adult's areas at all and were shocked when they said that there were over 750 kids ages 3-12 on the ship...not counting the younger ones or the teens. We just didn't see that many & it wasn't too crowded for us. You will be surprised. The ship is huge!

We just took our first cruise on the Wonder, so I have very recent experience. If you would love an almost empty adult pool, stay on the ship on your Nassau day. Either that, or get off first thing in the morning to say "I saw Nassau, really didn't need to do that" and get right back on the ship and enjoy a nearly empty pool and jacuzzis. Its wonderful! Also, if you find that the lounges at night are crowded, which they were around 10:30 or so, we went down to deck 4 and just enjoyed the most comfortable deck lounge chairs ever. Its a great place to sit and chat with your friends too, nice and quiet. Don't miss the shows at night though, they're very good.

I've been on several DC and never felt crowded. I've always found space at the pool. The only time something was crowded was watching the football playoff games at the Pub during our NYE's cruise.

i hate crowds and i never felt crowded on the ship...never ever..
it's a very big ship....
and the guests are spread out between lots of different things...

you're going to be surprised at how big many of the places on the ship are....like the various dining rooms....and the theatre....

and if you feel like going for a walk, head to deck 4.....it seemed to always be very quiet there when we went for a walk...in fact it gave us the feeling that the ship was totally deserted (i don't know where the rest of the 2700 passengers were, but they weren't walking with us)...

ITA....deck 4 outside and the promenade lounge inside were both very empty every time we were there and our cruise was full! I was amazed at all the little places to get away on board...i have heard other people talk about the deck 10 bar does not seem busy alot of the time either :flower:
