How Crazy is opening weekend of F&W?

We have been to the F&W during Columbus Day weekend a few times. This year we are considering going during the opening weekend. How crazy are the crowds?

I just did my first F&W this past year and it was opening weekend. It was rather busy, I have to say. That Saturday especially was super crowded.

I asked this same question before, because my week ends the first weekend of F&W. They said not only is it opening weekend but there's also a marathon at WDW that weekend too which makes it extra busy at Epcot. They said Friday during the day shouldn't be *too* bad but then the locals come out at night and over the weekend. Might be pretty busy.

Thanks. We're going to try to move to 10/14 then (the weekend after Columbus Day weekend). We are only going for a long weekend so want to try to be able to do as much as possible. Thanks for the input!
