How crazy is July 4th?

Hi all, I just booked 3 nights at RPR July 4-7. We are really looking forward to seeing nighttime activities. We usually go in June and have never seen anything.

We've stayed at the Hard Rock before but this is our first visit to RPR. I hope my kids aren't disappointed in the pool and missing the underwater music

Has anyone been there for the 4th and will I regret being there then. I don't care all that much if the parks are crowded, Express Pass will take care of that. I'm just wondering if it's a great time to go or not so great. Thanks in advance! Let the countdown begin!

Since you're staying onsite, the lines shouldn't bother you too much...as you stated. You'll have a great time during that weekend...just don't wander too far from the pools during the summer.

I've been there a few times during the 4th. Staying on-site made it a pleasure and we really had great trips during that time. Don't forget you caNn pool hop so take a day and spend it at HRH pool. You will have a great time!

We have been there a few times during July 4. The parks do get VERY crowded. We also go to the parks early, take a break at the resort early afternoon, go back to the parks around dinner time.
Staying on site helps with wait times, but in the afternoon it sometimes gets so crowded that even walking around the parks is a pain---plus it's HOT!
