Just arrived back from UK (Aug 1st) to Texas. It was 54F in Ireland, and is 113F in Dallas. I know 113F is way too hot even for me, but I was wearing jeans, a sweater, a winter coat and was still cold in UK. (104 is 40C I believe) Is March as cold in Paris 54F or there abouts? I need to know if I should pack winter coats for my family? I never warmed the entire time I was in Ireland. Thoughts?:confused3

I'd definitely pack winter coats for March, if you're travelling later in the month then you might get lucky and have nice days but I'd pack the coats just in case.

March can vary a lot. I'm born in March and Germany even had snow on my birthday a couple of times.

If you're used to Dallas temperatures I'd probably bring winter coats.

Went went for four days in march the first three were wet coat jumpers, jeans and UGG's our last day was jeans and tshirt jumper in the morning but such a change.

First three days were like that

March at DLP is very likely to be colder than the temp you had in Ireland this week, so if you were cold in Ireland, definitely take your winter coats, thick jumpers, boots etc with you to DLP in March.

DLRP in March was colder than i could bare but i have to say i'm Italian and it is pretty mild that time of the year over here.
So it would be' winter clothes for me :)

We went from March 25-28 2011 and it was actually pretty nice. The first 2 days were lovely and warm, just about OK for the girls to be wandering around in short sleeved princess dresses with no other layers. The latter 2 days were cooler, but we were fine with just jumpers and jeans rather than coats and snow boots! That said we are British so we're kind of used to our rubbish weather :lmao: I'd definitely prepare for being cold and hope you're nicely surprised!

Thanks everyone. I know I must sound wimpy, but I just like to be prepared for all eventualities. Winter coats it will be. I am slightly tougher than my DH who says the coldest winter he ever spent was a summer in Ireland! We are looking forward to enoying a great vacation in DLP, it's always easier to take off a layer than to have to buy sweatshirts! :grouphug: Y'all are the best! Thanks for not laughing at me.:flower3:

We've been a few times in March and it varies, we've had bitterly cold and snow, very cold but dry and sunny, very sunny and warm and even heavy rain, so best pack for the worse case scenario. Layers are definately the way to go :thumbsup2

You definitely need to pack for every weather in March!

We've been then twice and both times been really lucky but last time the week before we went was -5c! We were walking round in tshirts the following week! It really can be so changeable.

Layers, layers, layers and definitely take winter coats just incase :goodvibes

Most of the contents of our suitcases went home unworn but I'd hate to get caught out!
