How close is the Swan to DTD?

We will be arriving the night before our ressies at the Polynesian and I was thinking of trying the Swan for this one night. We usually like to go to Downtown Disney when we get in a day early and were wondering how far it is and is there transportation from the Swan.

You can take a WDW bus. It's a pretty easy trip.

Why don't you try SSR? You can either rent points or book it through Disney. Right across the street from DTD. Walk, take a boat or maybe a bus.

Disney will transfer your luggage and you'll be able to use DME.

Not far, but you take a bus.

The Swan is in the Boardwalk area, and there is a lot to do there. ESPN, Jellyrolls, Atlantic Dance, the entertainers on the Boardwalk. It's also across the street from Fantasia Gardens mini golf.

We often go to the Boardwalk as a nighttime destination. We like to eat at ESPN (nothing beats wings & beer), have dessert at Beaches & Cream (at the BC), wander shopping and watching the performers, stop in Jellyrolls for some great music. We're not big dancers, so we don't go to Atlantic Dance, but folks seem like they are having a good time in there when we walk by.
