How close is HIFS to the parks?

How do you request a poolview room? Do you send a friendly fax like you would for a Disney resort? I requested a Kid's suite when I made my ressie. I also joined the Priority Club, will that help? Ground floor would be great with a stroller & Granny!Thanks for any info!!

I called the toll free number for the HIFS (1-877-387 5437) to make special requests. As I mentioned in an earlier post, I requested ground floor, the "manatee room", poolside, non-smoking, and close to the lobby. All my requests were honored. They tell you requested are not guaranteed. At the time, they asked which three kids suite themes I was interested in, so if they don't have the first available, they'll try for your 2nd or 3rd choice.
