How close is American Airlines to Southwest Airlines?

Is there a map that shows each airline for arrivals?

Are these two airlines close to each other or far apart? I am correct they are both on the Terminal A side, right?

They could potentially be VERY far apart. As you can see each side A and B are divided up and depending on gate assignment, could be across the airport from each other. Why are you meeting gamily on another flight? it would just be easier to meet up at baggage claim. Here is the map of MCO so you can see for yourself.

They both are on the 'A' side for ticketing, check in and baggage claim, although the American ticket counter is at one end and Southwest all the way down at the far end. I believe the same holds true on the baggage claim level.

As far as gates go, they are in completely different gate pods and use different security checkpoints so there is no way for American and Southwest passengers to "mingle" after going through security on the way home or before leaving the secure area on the way in.

The gates each use are on opposite sides of terminal A. With American using gates in the teens and SW is in the hundreds..... Since a monorail ride to the main terminal will be required and then having to go through security again, you'll have to meet somewhere in the middle......

One you arrive via the monorail, there is no going through security again without a proper boarding pass.
