I was wondering which resort Hard Rock or Royal Pacific has a parking lot (self parking) closer to the resort. We will be traveling to Disney for 5 of our 7 days and want to minimize the walk to our car each morning. Thanks!

As long as the resorts aren't booked to capacity, there is not much diiference in the Walk to your car.I went TO RPR last year on Labor day weekend and was parked a good 10-15 minute walk from the hotel. They do not have enough self-parking if the hotel is full.IF RPR is filled up,the HR self-parking will be much closer.

ditto on Lava124's response!!! HRH would be a closer one when they are full, but I also think that the HRH has a smaller lot! I know I never had a problem finding a spot at the RPR.. had to walk a bit but got one. There were 2 times at the HRH that we were unable to find a spot period.. We had to end up parking illegally as others did... :furious: and when you are paying for a spot, there should be one for you!

Do not park under any trees. Ever. We went a couple years ago, stayed at RPR, and parked the car under a tree to keep it in the shade. When we went to leave for Disney three days later, the car was infested with ants. Horrible little ants that it took us days to get rid of. We don't know how they even got in the car as we never went near it once it was parked, but it was bad. Ended up having to stop at a store to buy spray and traps, shake all of the suitcases off, throw away any food we brought from the room to take to Disney with us when moved. It was horrible. We plan on parking in the middle of the lot next time.

THANK YOU so much for this post. My 7 year old son is fatally allergic to Fire Ants ants (carries an EPI PEN). This would have been devastating to my family if we became infested with ants while parked. Thank you again.
