We will be going to wdw in 10 days, our first trip, we are taking two very large suitcases with us, 2 adults and 1 child. We were thinking of buying another case over there to bring back all the stuff we plan on buying :earboy2: just wondering how much thay cost. :rotfl:

i was just there in dec and had to buy one, i got it at walmart for 35.oo it also depends on where you buy it,,,we had a car so could go there you may not have a car so i have no idea how much they are on disney property,,,

I have an old suitcase, more like a giant bag, that I can fold up and pack in my suitcase and take it with me. It doesn't take up any room in the original suitcase and I can fill it up on my return trip.

:cool1:

Think about buying a duffel bag that you can buy packaged (Nike sells them this way)
Pack it in your suitcase o use later.

We packed a carry on bag when we flew filled with snacks, etc. When it was time to leave we had an empty bag to carry home what we bought and didn't have to worry about where our souv. would fit!

I agree with packing a large duffel bag in your case. Or the other thing I have done is buy a smaller rolling case at home and just check that with the other luggage. If you buy the case at home you will be able to shop around and take time to buy one at the best price. Once you get to world you may not want to take the time do that kind of shopping.

I hope you have a fabulous first trip! I am excited FOR YOU! :goodvibes

DH and I always go with 2 large suitcases and 1 carry on. In one of the large suitcases is a duffel bag to be used on the trip home. Since we are both entitled to check 2 suitcases each and have 1 carry on, we are well within our limits. I stuff the dirty clothes in the duffel and shoes, using the suitcases for the souvs. On trips that we know we are doing a lot of buying I'll put 2 duffels in our suitcases. Just remember, there is a weight limit per bag at the airlines. :cool1:

Here's another suggestion: I usually try to purchase as much WDW goodies as I can from one of the larger stores (Emporium at MK, Mouse Gear at EPCOT) and have them ship it to my home. You do not pay tax on things shipped out and it will be at your home (from my past experiences) in about 1-2 weeks. :flower:

I also usually put a second bag (soft-sided duffel type) in my luggage and take it down with me. And to save a little more space on the return trip, my DH, SkipperBubba pirate: advocates taking all your old, holey socks and underwear along and then just disposing of them there instead of packing them to come home.
We've also gone the "ship stuff home" route. It's certainly effective too. :goodvibes
Happy landings,

In addition to bringing a duffel bag for my dirty laundry (it's also convenient when I get home, just drop it all in the laundry room), I do one more thing. I pack as much as I can to check, and bring as many souveniers as possible in my carry-on. If the airline loses my luggage, I figure that clothes, toiletries, etc. can be replaced, but souveniers can't.
