How can you get a Disney Resort discount?

We have just decided on the Fort Wilderness Cabins for our 2001 November trip. Since the cabins are quite pricey ($219 per night), I was wondering if there are discounts available, and how do I get them? We do not belong to any Disney clubs or our employers do not have any Disney memberships. Do you have to book directly through Fort Wilderness, or can you find a discount through a travel agency of some kind. We would love to stay as long as possible, but with these prices, we are going to have to leave after 4 nights! Going to a different resort is not an option, we have a family of 5 and need the space!!!!!!!

the www.hifamilysuites.com/index.html? They have kid suites[w/bunkbeds and a trundle, 25"tv/vcr combo,nintendo,lego table,and more,
there is a master bedroom, king bed w/door 25"tv/vcr,make-up table/computer table,
the livingroom has a fold out sofa,25"tv/vcr,rocking chair, microwave, refig.,coffee pot.

the suite sleeps 7or8 people. they are about a mile away from the epcot entance in Lake Buena Vista. they have themed rooms.very cool pools.

BEST of all everyone gets FREE breakfast!!kid 12 and under eat FREE with Adults at all meals.they have a pizza place[pizza hut,i think],A&W fast food, and sit down dinner place!!

And family Bingo and Kareoke, and there is a game room.

I think this Beats any on site resort if you have a larger group or family!!And in off season they have run a buy one night and get one night FREE coupon,up to 5 nights, that gives you 10 nights, the prices range from $89. to $148.[143. with AAA discount]

TRY THE HOLIDAY INN SUNSPREE
If you have younger kids potty trained to young teen, and you and your spouce want to eat a Quite dinner, they have child care, you get a beeper for peace a mind!!and the children get activities they will love[computer classes for the preteens]

Your best bet for a discount is to join the Disney Club. I can't recall Disney offering any promotional pricing during November (like the state-specific discounts or manager's specials). The Disney Club discount would be 10 - 20%, so the membership would pay for itself in only 2 nights. The membership is $39.95 for one year and in addition to room discounts, you can also get discounts on your park passes. For more info on the Disney Club, call 1-800-654-6347.

Good Luck!

If you belong to AAA, the room discounts are the same as for Disney Club members. Call 407-W-DISNEY and ask if they have a AAA discount for your dates. If you don't need the kitchen, you could get two rooms at the All-Stars for $77 each plus tax. If a AAA discount is available, you'll save 10% at the All-Stars and 20% at the moderates and deluxe.

Consider having someone in your party get an annual pass. (First check and see if an annual passholder discount is available for your dates.) Annual passholder discounts are a lot better than DC or AAA discounts.

If you scedule your trips 51 weeks apart, you can use annual passes for both trips and get discounts. Just an idea.

I just wanted to let everyone know that my husband and I just cancelled our DC memvership because they are only able to give you discounts during value season and we were looking into late Oct. - early Nov. 2001. When we were joining the reps told us we could save a substantial dicsount for that time period when we booked at DxL - not true. Also, the annual pass is just as tricky. . .you can only book rooms at the AP rate at certain time (mostly a few weeks before your vacation). I would check into AAA as a few people have suggested - they might be your best bet. We have had some luck with them. . .so far! Hope we all have helped!!!

Have you tried the Swan or Dolphin? TThey have some pretty good discount if you are a teacher or goverment worker at $129. If you have a DC card or an Entertainment card you can get it at $155. An AP gets you $155, a room upgrade and a late check out!

Is anybody having luck with the "insider" rate for the Mardi Gras period?
