Hi Everyone,

I was excited to read about the live stream of Wishes tomorrow night at 8:55 on the Disney Parks Blog, but it seems very anticlimactic to gather the family around the little laptop screen to watch it. I have a Roku TV and also a wifi-enabled DVD player. Is there a way to pull up the live stream on my TV through either of those options? Has anyone had any experience with doing that with previous live streams?

Thank you!

Rhett

If you don't have apple products you could plug your laptop into your television via HDMI.

If you have a Mac, iPhone, ipad, or iPod Touch, and an Apple TV, you can AirPlay it to your TV.

Chromecast allows you to use the chrome web browser to project whatever is on the web page onto the tv. Don't know if it works with roku.

Thank you for these suggestions. I don't have Apple TV or a chromecast. I'll have to check if my computer has an HDMI port.

Meanwhile, if anyone has had success getting the Disney Parks Blog on their smart TV any other way, I'd love to hear about it!

Download the YouTube Channel for your Roku TV. After you do that, open up the youtube channel and sign in with either a gmail address or a previously created youtube profile. (If you have to create either of these, it's easiest to do it on a computer first). After you sign in to YouTube on your Roku TV, go to the settings tab and look for something that says "Link Device" or something to that matter. Click on that and it will give you instructions on how to automatically link your Roku TV YouTube Channel to your laptop or whatever device you choose to link. After it is linked, you can got to YouTube on the linked device, find a video you want to watch on your Roku TV and "send" it to the TV. If everything went smoothly, once you start to play a video on YouTube on your linked device, you will see a symbol in the video on the screen of your linked device that looks like a rectangle with 3 curved lines in the lower corner of the rectangle (looks like a wifi signal symbol over the top of a rectangle). You can click that symbol and your Roku TV will show up as an option to "Cast" to. It sounds complicated to setup but it is very easy once you follow the on screen instructions. If you have trouble setting that up, just search for Disney Parks on your Roku TV once you downloaded the YouTube Channel on your Roku TV. Hope this helps!
