How can I use my tickets 1 day earlier?

We have booked a split stay. Just 1 night at All Star Sports for our arrival day, then switching over to Wilderness Lodge for 4 nights. With the WL nights, we purchased 5 day park hoppers & the dining plan.

My dilemma - I know we can't access our dining plan until our arrival day at WL (no problem there), but we would like to visit a park the night of our arrival using our 5 day tickets...is there a way to access them early? We don't even want FP+ for that day, just to get into the park for a show or two.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Your park tix are not dated. You can use them whenever you like. The ticket is good for 5 days, after the 1st time you use it you have 14 days to use up all 5 days. Happy New Year and enjoy your trip !

Thanks! So I can still do FP+ 60 days prior to our WL check in, right? I just can't book a FP+ for the sports night?

Sorry another question - how do we access the tickets? Our magic bands for the WL stay? Like I said, we did 2 separate stays, 1st night at Sports )I guess we will get magic bands just for that?) and then WL with the 5 day tix & dining plan. We've never done a split stay :)

the ticket are not on your band but are on MDE and the band is just a way to access it ( I hope this made since) but any ways it dose not matter what band you use ( I have over 30 bands and cards and I use them interchangeable) I hope this helped enjoy your trip

if you have a 5 day ticket it dose not matter when you use it you just have to use it with in 14days since you have 5 day tickets you get 5 days worth of FP dose not matter if you are staying at sports WL you can book 60 in advance if you are staying on site ( any Disney hotel ) and 30 if not staying on site.

Ok so how would we access the tickets then? Sorry I'm sure it makes sense, just not to me yet! LOL. I see our tickets in MDE app, but it just says 5 day park hopper. Don't they come "preloaded" on your magicband?

you put one of your MB on and you go to the park and you touch the Micky to the Micky then you put your finger on the pad and you go in

I am not teck savez so hopefully someone else can explain but nothing is really on your MB it is just a way to assess it

I remember doing that last time, I guess I just thought it mattered if we had checked in or not at the resort, like the dining plan does.

For package tickets you might need to swing by the ticket booths or guest services to activate them a day before your package. Also I'm not sure you'll be able to book FP+ for that day because according to Disney you won't have active tickets yet.

No FP+ for that day is fine. We won't be going until late evening just to catch a show or two.

Has anyone personally done this? (Activated them a day early?)

I haven't because I've never booked a package but plenty of people do it every day. You can activate them up to 10 days early now I believe.

Just stop by guest services. You can activate package tickets up to 10 days early.

Yes I did this on my last trip (a couple weeks ago). Go to any Guest Service station (I went to the one in Disney Springs) and just tell them you need early activation.
You will need any magicband, and photo ID.
