I would love to have a CD of the WL lobby music before we go.
My DD is planning a Western birthday party too.

Is there a way to order it from the WL gift shop ?
Anyone have their phone # ?

You cannot buy a CD of the WL lobby music-believe I tried in July. Because of copyrights they cannot make a CD of the music. If they could, they would sell a TON of them! I personally love the music from the Magnificent Seven and the 1939 film with Errol Flynn and Olivia DeHavilland, Dodge City. As soon as I get my IPOD nano for Christmas I will be downloading a lot of the WL lobby music.

I love that music too (now that I've stayed at VWL)! We asked about it at the Mercantile, and they gave us a page with the songlist. The CM said some people follow the list and burn their own CD's. If anyone has done this, let me know!! I'd love to get a copy!!!

I was doing a quick search, and a lot of these songs were available on iTunes for download and purchase. I'm sure a lot of the other sites have them available as well!

There was someone on the DIS who would make a copy and send it out for $5. He made one for me and I listen to it all the time. I don't know if he still does it. Maybe he'll respond to this thread.

In the meantime, just purchase a CD of Aaron Copland's music--Appalachian Spring, Billy the Kid, and Rodeo--conducted by Leonard Bernstein. It's readily available on Amazon or B&N. If you notice the playlist, much of the music comes from Copland, and I think you will enjoy listening to his compositions until your next fix at WL. :paw:

Wow - I thought we were the only ones! We tried to buy a CD 10 years ago (honeymoon!) and then again a couple of years ago but all they gave us was the list that you all are talking about! I would LOVE to purchase a copy for DH! Hope that the DIS'r with the copy responds!! :)

I am interested in getting the music also. We stayed at WL 2 years ago and I was hoping on this trip in 10 days to WL we would be able to get the music this time around.
