I know there is NO bus that goes there, maybe a cab? If so, how much do you think it would be? A freind of mine is going to stay there in Nov. and I was wondering If we could meet for lunch, how I would get there, we are not renting a car! Thanks!

There are several options for you. You could take a bus to Epcot - walk thru the park and exit at the International Gate. From there it is a relatively short walk to the boardwalk.

You can take a bus to MGM, get on a boat from there that stops at the boardwalk.

Or you could have your friend meet you in any park and do lunch there......

Lots of options for you.

One thing I forgot to mention, is that if you stay at the BW much past the closing time of the 2 parks you will not be able to get back to ASsp the same way. You will either have to pay for a taxi, or take the BW bus to DTD, and from there take transportation back to ASsp.

Meeting at the BW shouldn't be a problem. IMHO, the best way to get there from any of the All Star Hotels is to take the bus to MGM and then walk over to the BW. The walk will take you about 15 minutes. There is a very nice paved (and it is well lighted in the evening) walkway along the canal. As WDWTrekker said, there is also a boat. If you take the boat, get off at the first stop - at the Swan/Dolphin. Then just walk over the bridge and you are on the Boardwalk.

Reverse the directions to return to your hotel. Remember that the MGM park must be open to use this route. If they are closed, your only Disney transportation is to take the bus to DD and transfer there. These buses run until either 1 AM or 2 AM. In this situation, though, I'd opt for a cab. It should cost $10 - $12, including tip and will take less than 15 minutes. Going via DD will take more than an hour.

Also, if you walk through EPCOT, you will need park admission. Walking from the EPCOT bus stop to the BW is a longer walk than walking from the MGM bus stop.

Enjoy your trip!

I was told by disney that there was a "jogging" path leading from assports to csr. I have a post where I'm trying to find out if this is true, and how long a walk it is. We're going in about 3 weeks, so if we don't get any feedback I may just try it and see. If it is possible to walk to csr, there are nightly busses that go to the boardwalk and back.

We were staying at ASMu.....we took a bus to MGM & hopped on a bus going to Coronado Springs.....that bus takes you to BWV.....the whole thing took us maybe 15 minutes.....we had the kids stay at the Harbor Club while we went to WS.....then when we got back to the kids around 10:00, there were cabs sitting outside BWV....we took one & it cost us $7.50 back to ASMu.....the whole thing worked out really well
