Anyone? Anyone? I have not slept well for a few months but it has been bad the past two weeks. Suddenly I have bad puffiness under my eyes. I have tried ice, cold water compresses and even Clarins under eye gel. None worked. I slept better last night and it was even worse today! I am thinking maybe it is sinuses? I don't know anymore but I need a remedy! Anyone?
TIA :goodvibes

OMG, I was just going to ask this today.

Yesterday, when I got ready to go to bed I noticed that I looked absolutely awful under my eyes. Then, today at work, I walked in and my co-worker said "Man, you looked tired." I looked in the mirror and, sure enough, under my eyes it is puffy, which then makes my circles look darker.

Honestly, even though I'm using Flonase and not suffering much, I think it is sinus issues/allergies coupled with a little water retention. I don't there is much you can do. Although I did just read that if you soak cotton balls in whole milk, then freeze them and put them on the eye, it helps. Something about the fat in the milk on the skin.

Preparation H works in a pinch but it stinks. I hate walking around smelling like a hemorrhoid cream all day so I put it on before I shower.

Preparation H is supposed to help. Never tried it, though

I have heard that too! I guess it makes sense when you think about it though. But I haven't tried it either :confused3

I've tried Prep H also, but it didn't do anything for me. I might try the Avon product next. I've tried so many already. I'm on allergy meds also and that hasn't helped either.

I am on allergy meds too! Zyrtec as a matter of fact. I was wondering if that was playing into this? Whatever it is, I need a remedy. I look 10 years older than I really am right now.

The Preparation H clear gel stuff doesn't have a really noticeable smell & has worked pretty well for me in the past. I've also used an anti-cellulite cream that contains caffeine, as caffeine's supposed to be effective either in tighening skin or reducing puffiness (don't remember which), which is why teabags are another common remedy. Good luck!

OMG!!! I was going to suggest this. My DH has terrible allergies and he has used this because he has puffiness all the time in spring. Give it a try, it might work.

I am SO going to try the PrepH!! :thumbsup2

I had actually heard of that, but it was back in my more fortunate days when I didn't have to worry so much about issues like circles under the eyes and puffiness! But I had forgotten about it!

Try the PH - it's the cheapest alternative.

You may want to try Shiseido's Eye Treatments - they are eye pads that you wear for several minutes (cooling agent and anti-puffiness). They are about $40 for 10 pairs/treatments.

Ok everybody....I ran to Walgreens and got the Walgreens brand of the gel. I came home and put it under my eyes and my DH thinks I am certifiably insane. :teeth: How long do I leave this on for? It kinds stings a little, just a teeny bit. Is that ok?

Thanks to all of you for your advice!
