How can I find out when Pop Warner/Cheerleader groups are in WDW next December??

I'm thinking of taking my Mom to WDW next December as she's never been and I know she'd really appreciate the Christmas decorations. I want to avoid the week the Pop Warner football players and/or Cheerleaders are down there. I know they were there the week of Dec 5th or so this year. Anyone know where I could find this information?

The first week of December is actually becoming quite a busy time. Very popular with DVC'ers and Internet groups (Mousefest)

When the cheerleaders and other athletic groups are there, they are very booked with their activities. We have been there multiple times when the dance teams or cheerleaders are there in January. Have rarely seen them in the parks though since their competitions take up so much time.

Would 12/2-9, be the right dates for Pop Warner?

I did a Google search on "Pop Warner," and it showed that this year's WDW event took place from December 4-10. The calendar didn't go into 2006. Maybe someone else will have more information.

Since 2003, it has always been the first full week of December. We had the unfortunate luck to be there for Pop Warner in 2003 and 2004, but we avoided it this year by going the week after Thanksgiving. What a difference! No squealing groups of obnoxious teenage cheerleaders!

This wasn't the case this year it seems...we were ther the first week of December and we saw Cheerleaders ALL DAY LONG at all the parks...big buches of them and the parks were way more crowded than I thought they would be.

UGH! I wonder why? Don't blame you a bit for wanting to miss them I think what we see usually in December are those teams tehre for competition (dance, cheer, etc) Hardly see them!

We had ADRs at Planet Hollywood around the very same time as two very large groups of cheerleaders (one more than 80 strong) took over the restaurant. They had private rooms reserved but the sheer volume of them couldn't help but affect the ebb and flow of the restaurant's business. We waited well over 50 minutes of our time frame and finally had to beg our way in.

I called Pop Warner about this the other day, and they told me in 2006 their first day is 12/3.
