Hi all. My son is going to grad night today and wants to buy a lightning lane pass but when he goes in, it tells him he has to be over 18 to buy. I went to the My Disney Experience app and removed my son under the Friends and Family list so that he isn't managed by me and he has his own acct. He asked his friends and apparently they're all either over 18 or they just put their age in as over 18. Can someone tell me how he can buy the pass or should he just change his age?

I assume you are referring to Disneyland and not WDW. I'm not sure how to get around the 18 year old restriction, but Disneyland uses the Disneyland app, not MDE.

That's also one of the things that was confusing me because I thought so but all of th online searches seem to point me to the WDW app. Also, the WDW app seems to have the friends and family tab but the Disneyland app doesn't show for me.

Wondering if he just needs to go guest services when he gets there to figure it out but I would prefer to help him get it taken care of before he arrives so he's ready to go.

DL doesn't have that feature.

He can link his tickets to someone he is going with so that they would be able to book the lightning lanes together.

Following up in case anybody also has questions but I unfortunately don’t have an answer to how he did it except to say he went to guest services and got it to work.
